Mike, if you are relying on procuring a golden statue to sell for the airfare, I am glad to say that you have almost 2 years to come up with plan B . . .

Speaking of airfare, I was purchasing travel insurance today (what DCL would ask for the three cruises I have planned is crazy; I was able to cover all three plus airfare for less than a third of the cost) and had to guess on the cost of the airfare to get my quote -- and I hope I am wrong!

Those fountains and golden statues are from the gardens at Peterhof, by the way, and are said to rival Versailles (which we did get to see last summer) . . .

I also discovered this afternoon that Tallinn does not have a famous fountain -- or that people do not like to take pictures of it! Actually, since it is well known as a beautifully preserved medieval town, I suppose it might be normal not to have too many fountains.

Mike you can get the gold while I take a dip to cool off a flash.... the people will be so busy watching the crazy american lady swimming in the water to notice you taking the gold!!!

Hi everyone- just checking in before I leave school- some of the teachers said the Baltic is very rough... any comments??? I cant imagine spending this money and being sick... the Med was so great- so calm except for one night, and I felt it right away in the dining room.

We had extremely smooth seas this past July. It's like cruising anywhere else, the luck of the draw with the seas and the weather.
We also had good weather, it was anywhere from 65 and raining up to 85 in Amsterdam. We also had a beautiful day in London, my friends' said it was the nicest day of the summer.

Just a quick introduction

this will be our 2nd dcl cruise and just me (Marla) and my daughter (Kara) who is currently a senior in high school and has no clue what she wants to do when she graduates next June

She is wrapping up her marching band high school career and her swim season (swims for 2 teams) has started

I will try to check in when I can and more than likely won't be able to keep up

Izzie, I hope your back is better. That is not good when you hurt like that and time is all that can help.

I am busy getting things together for our November 8 cruise. We leave on the 4th for 5 days at WDW before cruise so I am really excited Our dd and her dh will arrive on Nov 5 and we have not seen them since April so lots of excitement for everyone!

Loved the pictures. We just got a new camera so hopefully we can get some exciting pictures on our trip.
