London is a large city but also very very easy to navigate, it has a great public transport system, we might disagree here, as we have the occasional issue but compared to other city's its very good.

Lots and lots to see, with or with out a tour guide, but whatever you do, do spend time in our great City.

There are so many places of historical interest to see, but often you do not need the expensive tourist buses, just get a travel-card ( or Oyster card) and use any bus or Train.

Are all the Museums free or do you need that London Pass?

I think that the entry to the majority of museums are free, but if there is any special exhibitions on in the museum there is often an entrance fee to that exhibition.

Yeah, I gotta figure things out for London as we will be on our own!

Need Lodging for family of 6 as Andrew's Garden Shed just wont do!:scared1: :lmao:

I think I will go get Rick Steves Guide for London & Vicinity.

I am thinking Greenwich would be interesting? Where is the Naval Museum?

The site I listed previousley also had driver guides for touring outside the City.

Just for Julie, I have covered their..........nice pair of................eyes.:thumbsup2

No, don't do it for me!:rotfl: If you want to get yourself in trouble on the Dis, that's your own business . . . I will just ATTEMPT not to goad you into anything if I can possibly help it!

Ok Greenwich is very good as is The Cabinet War Rooms, Science Museum is great for the kids, lots of interactive stuff. In the center of London along the Thames you've got HMS Belfast, Tower of London, London Eye and The London Aquarium.

If you fancy moving out of town then Windsor Castle is a lovely day out.

I think the Navel museum is at Dartmouth and the Imperial War Museum is in Lambeth

As above most are *free* but you are asked for contributions and there are *specials* extra bits where you are obliged to pay.

Other places Tower of London, or Madam Tussuad's Waxworks are expensive

I don't want to get myself into trouble, but as we have seen some of our friends have had issues, I have had two another Disser's PM me recently recently who had 'points'. They didn't do anything deliberate.

We do have to respect the rules they allow us to learn and help others, but as anything its down to the people making the decisions, a lot are very nice indeed.

Maybe just maybe......

OK bickering boys getting on my nerves in the playroom now so I'm signing off

Night, Night play nice

Dear Dis Boards

I am a dork. I am listening to the Haunted Mansion cd. Madam Leota sounds great! :hmghost:

hi Mike great to see you even if it's only for a short time. Don't forget we seem to have gone for Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo !! whatever a Ballyhooing person look like :confused3 :confused3

Also just as a personnal request if you are going to use the small world logo for inspiration is it possible to make the colours brighter as on the original I think they look a bit insipid - sorry

I'll see what i can do.

Hi Izzy

Mikes does a gret job. He did wonderful deck plansfor our FE on the EB PC Repo. Very awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks! It was a lot of work, but I was happy with how it turned out.

Mike what new program are you getting?

I was using PhotoStudio Expressions, but it stopped working for some reason. It had some features that I didn't really like anyway, so we're getting the newest PhotoShop.

Carolyn, heard that the contract was settled. Is that your union? I heard the Machinist still are negotiating. Hopefully your back to work soon.

Well, it's a much nicer day here, a bit of sun. DD has dance class tonight so I will make a run up to Target to get the new Tink dvd. At Target it comes with a jewelry box.

YES!!! The union and Boeing have reached a tentative agreement! We should have the details of it sometime today. We'll vote by the end of the week, needs a simple majority to pass. Might be back to work soon! WOO HOO!!!

Best of luck that everything gets settled quickly.

It's possible that you may crash and burn on your own, but I will try not to be responsible . . .:rotfl:

Speaking of Crash and burn, just imagine the trouble Crash could get into with those pictures!

ETA: I came up with a pirate name, but it would probably get miscontrued and get me in trouble, so i guess I'd better just keep it to myself and keep thinking about one.

Very, very cold here overnight...I had to scrape the ice off the car windscreen before Josh and I set off this morning (insert freezing cold smillie) Heavy snow showers predicted in the North today/tomorrow

It's only October !!!!!

Excuse me, for the first time in many years, WE HAD SNOW ALL DAY TODAY IN OCTOBER!! Yikes!:confused3

My photo editing program isn't working right, but I'm getting a new one tomorrow. I have an idea for a design using the small world boat. I'm going to do it as a door magnet anyway, but if y'all like it, we can use it for our logo too. i should be able to get it done hopefully this weekend.

Ok, cool!:thumbsup2

Now I realise that this will probably come as a huge disappointment but.........I probably won't be around so much in the evenings for the next couple of weeks as Josh's laptop went into the service department today so I'm stuck with the desktop in the playroom :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

But fear not I will be back each day when I get into work and I will login at home when the mayhem in the playroom is at a mangeable level :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

The question is..........When exactly are the Brits at work??:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
