Andrew we have at least one door magnetic for each day of the cruise:cool1::cool1:
Don't mind at all you asking for the same door magnet...in fact...
I actually felt a bit guilty that I had not made the effort to post the links to the signs on this thread before:rolleyes1
So much easier than trying to make them on your own and they make your door so much easier to find too.

Since I'm still kind of hoping we might be able to upgrade at the port I don't want my cabin number incorporated into the magnet. I'll put it on a sticker or something later after we arrive:confused3 Worse case scenario if they get stolen I have the pictures on my home computer:confused3

Not finished yet with our planning-doing it little by little.
I was worried about trying to start the second day of St Pete too early-especially for my kids. They are not early morning people:rolleyes1:laughing:

I'm hoping to visit Rosenborg Castle in the afternoon for Copenhagen. The website looked very cool http://www.rosenborgslot.dk/asp/menu/menuPages/frontpage_2.asp?countryID=2

Just remembered that I asked for that design after scottishwee did:laughing:

Love looking at that thread:lovestruc

Andrew, do they take door magnets with your names on it? We never lost one on our last cruise.

As I have a Cat 3 I have made the assumption that there will not be any upgrade and I am not looking for one at port, it isn't worth it as the midship Cat 3 Layout suits us and is a great location and I wouldn't wish to move.

Therefore i am trying to incorporate our room number into everything, somewhere so we can identify it. Understand others considering the possibility of an upgrade will not include the number just in case.

Now, the only slight disadvantage of our room location is we are on the hallway of deck 8 mid ship elevators, just below the pool deck, and kids like to meet in that area. So they do like to play with our magnets, and I have found them gone and down the hallway. One person on our 2009 cruise gave us 'Letters' that make up our names, a good idea, but kids every night would change them around into swear words, some kids cant spell.

Some people think its fund to quickly take a magnet off one door and move it down a few doors, I have seen people try, when they didn't think we were around and quickly get ride of it.

We are 'early' morning people generally however if its day after day some of the troops do wear down a bit.

But our starts are ok most of the time.

  • Oslo 8.45am
  • Copenhagen 8.45am
  • Berlin is 7.15am, but can eat on the train.
  • Sea day to recover.
  • St Petes 12.30pm.
  • St Petes day two, 8am.
  • Tallinn, 9.45am.
  • Stockholm 8.45am,

So thats not too bad.

One of these days we'll get a cat 3:thumbsup2

If our signs travel we will disappointed, but not crushed.
I might try the traveling gnome that Sil used on the PC repo:idea:

I am so not a morning person, unless I am on a trip. Then I want to pack as much waking time into every day.
I hope people leave our magnets alone!!

Yes; we had that on our door, and passed it on, easy there were Dissers, in many of the Cat 4s near us, and we often met and talked, and people asked, Are you Andrew Derek from the UK???:)

Julie was telling me on the PC repo that the kids writing rude things on the memo boards was a problem:sad2:

But I think on this cruise they will be too busy to bother much with stuff like that.

I haven't used a memo board, that is something to think about.

I like the way that on the Panama cruise many parents gave their kids a cruise contract and made their kids behave more, its only the 2009 Caribbean one where we had this occur.

However i have seen parents do strange things before as well.

Once on disembarkation morning, we were walking down behind another family before going to immigration at 6am.

They were just in front of us at the elevators, they choose to go down the stairs, but we got an elevator straight away as there wasn't many people around at that time.

Our elevator stopped at every deck from 8/7/6/5/4, now with no one around who was that, well at one we saw the Dad, just run away as our elevator was catching him up, and he had pressed it at every floor, we then were behind them in immigration, he wouldn't look at us.
