silly question

Day 13 Dover, England 8:00 a.m. - do we think this means everyone will be off by 8:00 a.m. or we can start getting of at 8:00 a.m.

trying to figure out to either take ferry to France and train from there to Paris and then to DL Paris or take bus back to London and get Eurostar from London to Paris to DL

My adventurous kid who is not timid gave me funny look when I said Eurostar goes under the channel - she said water above us :scared1:

Disembarkation will start around 8AM would be my guess!

If there is a ferry direct from Dover I would give it a try or a hovercraft that would be SO COOL!:3dglasses:woohoo: and much faster! You could then catch a bus or train in Calais:cool2:

That is what I am thinking too

As I have been reading, one option ferry to Calais and then train to Paris

OK

Might sound a very silly question but..

Can someone in East coast USA, post and tell me the time there??

Here it is 8.25pm, I think you are now at 4.25pm re your change in the clocks???

DIS time if I long in shows local time, If I log out it says something like 3.25pm, and I do not think thats correct.

Andrew, try this link. It gives the time for major cities all over the world. You can also use it as a "clock" for your log in time...just check to see if you need to refresh it manually or if it does it on its own. I need to keep hitting refresh to get it to update.

I bet Andrew will have the Answer when he wakes up in the British AM!;)

I would take a Hover Craft if available & not priced to Crazy, Smoother, Faster & the experience!:thumbsup2

I think now, that our ship isn't 'full' we have had a high amount of transfers and cancellations, and we might see an offer after the PIF date this weekend.

On other Baltic cruises there are waitlists for Cat 3, I am not aware that we have that on ours and suspect, they are not all sold. Maybe a lot of people hoping for a port paid/upgrade. Note since the weekend the Cat4's have sold out again but there are 5/6 10/11/12 still on sale.

There's still a waitlist for this sailing. I'm still waiting for a cat. 3 upgrade call. My TA just checked again a few days ago, none available.

:worship: :worship: :worship: Thank you ever so much. But it better the ice cream bar kind and not something else. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I can't promise to behave all the time, but every so often shouldn't be a problem. :upsidedow
I bet my DD would watch your little one (sometimes) for an unlimited stash of MM bars. Your little one would really like that. :upsidedow

You know of my evil plan to corner the Market on Mickey Bars Whilst Andrew has wasted his Concierge Calls on shore excursions I have already cornered the extra freezer market on the Magic so as to stash the Frozen Mickey's!:woohoo::banana::cool1: :thumbsup2

Wow.....DD just said that for unlimited MM bars she will watch your little one all the time and even go to the club with her. Oh yeah....she's staying in your cabin too.

Back to planning mode~

I booked the Eurostar today from Paris to London on July 16th, and did the PIF dance :banana::banana: last week!

I have hotel reservations in London and Paris, now I need to work on pre trip Germany and Switzerland and oh yeah...flights! :)

'Morning all

It's supposed to be warmer here today than in Miami...strange, strange weather.

You would need to catch a taxi to the ferry terminal, its near (a couple of miles), but not in the same place as the cruise terminal. THere seacats as well as traditional ferries, but the cat is restricted by the weather. sea cat 50 mins (operated by Hoverspeed), ferry 90 mins (operated by P&O or SeaFrance)

We cancel the Dreams Cruise for next year :sad2: Husband's boss didn't approved for 2 half weeks off but gave us 2 weeks off oh well, another times we will be on Dreams Cruise :headache:

Scottishwee35

I used to have problems getting vacation approved when I worked in a lab. Never knew if I was getting the holidays off until the last minute-which was hard on my family. Now I am lucky that working for the gov't means as long as I have the time accrued I get it off when I want it. Nice after almost 20 years of not having that perk.

YOu can really tell when people don't travel, they don't have a clue as to how vacations need to be scheduled and most need to be scheduled way in advance any more.
My DMiL is very proud of the fact that she likes to plan things last minute...she feels it makes things more exciting. Can't cruise with her as she has very set ideas on how she thinks things should go and they don't coincide with ours.

You need to be 18 to go to Palo. DS18 has been waiting for three years, he has had to eat alone when DH and I go to Palo with DD21.

:thumbsup2
My DS is very much the food gourmet (he and my DH watch the foodnetwork all the time). Every DCL trip he talks about when he gets old enough to go to Palo. I'm thinking he will be disappointed when he is finally old enough and it doesn't meet his expectations.

JillJill - I am glad that your husband got his vacation approved. If my boss didn't approve my vacation time I would sick my wife on him. She would be happy to read him the riot act since it is her dad :)
:laughing::thumbsup2

It looks like you and I are the only excited ones. :confused3 :dance3:

I was a little busy on this anniversary...but now I am celebrating the "Less than 4 month" anniversary of our Baltic cruise:laughing:;)

Got most of the essential planning done as far as transportation (airfare, bus and car), hotel and some activities in London, excursions in St Pete and Berlin. Just need to figure out the remaining ports now:woohoo:

Which takes preference for booking on DCL-the DCL website clock or this one?
(Sorry if someone already asked this).

it's supposed to be almost 70 degrees here tomorrow!

the day isn't over yet.....

Are you hinting at something that Andrew is unaware of?!? :rotfl2: :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl:
You 2 really do need to keep posting on here since you 2 are a riot.  :flower3:
