Good Morning Ballyhooers, Wherever you are

I hope all is well on this "Black Friday". As a member of the Retail Industry, this is a very important day, even though the company I work for has been in the black for some time now.

Caro and the girls will be in a parade later today, I will try to video and post.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend

Did one store after dropping Kara off at work at 5 this morning

Then after she got off we did some laptop pricing comparing and got a pretty good deal on her new laptop

but basically my shoppin is done, just need one more thing for my mom.

All of my nieces and nephews are getting savings bonds this year

I am coming up to a busy time for shopping as well as Christmas its DD's birthday early next week. She has put in a request for a very very nice Digital camera, using Birthday and Christmas funds, and DS well he just wants an expensive laptop. So not much then.

Kara had saved her graduation cash and that is going towards laptop - we had been comparing and such for awhile, need to fill out rebate and along with great price, she got a free printer so she is a happy camper

Sounds good, DS Stephen is saving money up from 'gifts' and presents to contribute to a very good laptop,

Man great minds think alike Andrew. :thumbsup2 Got a new laptop for Christmas yesterday. :rotfl: He He He....it's awesome.

The things are you get a basic one then you find you have to buy and add lots of operating systems, its like buying a car and it doesnt have any wheels and you have to add thoose.

Christmas is early here, plus its DD Alices birthday next week.

Just noticed for our cruise for a party of 4, only category 9 and 10 staterooms left at the moment

Hi all:yay:
Finally back home after our Manhattan Thanksgiving:goodvibes

Got to see Julie (Bellelinus) and her DD Meredith and have pizza at John's:woohoo: (Thanks so much to Julie to meeting up with us:hug:)

Got to see the parade and Empire State building:dance3:
Lots of fun and great pictures:cool1:

Stopped at a St Petersburg store in Bryant Park-very bummed to see that their items were "designed in Russia-handkrafted in China":sad2:

I'll have to upload our pics and post some soon:goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends ( & Andrew)party:

Been off line for a couple of days - I've managed to tear my cartilage in my knee so am now going to Orlando on crutches on Sunday! :scared1: Spent a couple of hours at A&E (ER) on Tuesday night, saw the orthopaedic guy today who confirmed my suspicions, but wants an MRI to confirm his!:rotfl: Have got MRi booked for 10 Dec & back to see consultant on New Years Eve. Hoping it will just resolve itself, but may have to face another arthroscopy. I think it is safe to say my running days are finally over & possibly my cycling to work (it was coming home that way that caused it.

On more exciting news I managed to secure a go go hamster (zhu zhu hamster) at our local Tesco, so I will have a happy niece on Xmas day morning:cool1:

Celestine

So sorry to hear about your knee Celestine:hug:
Hope it gets better on its own without surgery. Maybe look into getting a scooter at the parks in Orlando:confused3

I saw on the news that the zhu zhu is suppose to be a very hot item this holiday season. Congrats on getting one:thumbsup2

We got our Key Ceremony ticket today:yay:
Thanks so much for sending that in for us:hug:
Julie was describing the ceremony the other day and we are really looking forward to going:woohoo:
My kids like torture chambers:rolleyes1
I expect the London Tower to be their favorite spot:rolleyes:

This follows the normal pattern, I know some people on the main boards give a different impression but firstly on any cruise 7 nights and longer outside rooms with verandahs sell out quickly, inside rooms are slower to sell. The opposite is true for short cruises 3/4 nights with inside rooms selling quicker.

Now on special cruises this occurs even quicker, with people feeling far more value for money with a verandah coming in and going out of new ports, and those sea days.

The Baltic cruises being limited to four only, and not repeated in 2011, have been literary full since they opened up for sale, yes people cancel and move around subject to their own personal circumstances and budget, and family issues, but thoose are filled up again quickly.

I would actually say, I feel these cruises will actually completly 'sell out'' the release of port excursions will tempt more people and they will be a last minute clamber, and people will be disappointed.

This actually happens on anything Disney if there is limited supply people have a competition to get it, from Palo Brunch, to Cinderellas royal table breakfast, to limited PIN.s Suites etc.

Hope everyone had a great holiday/weekend.

Have a few questions for the experienced cruisers. Does DCL allow you to use the Disney Reward Points for excursions?

I read on another thread that you have to apply Disney Dollars to your account at the beginning of the cruise in order to use them. (Glad I read about that. I'm such a rookie at cruising.) The thread mentioned a card, KWW?...something. Is this like the room key where you charge everything to?

I was looking through a picture thread yesterday on the main cruise board. Man was that great. This ship is SOOO beautiful. Highly suggest a quick peek for anyone needing a little pick-me-up. Also picked up some ideas for pics I want to take.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Flora

Not an expert but would say no.

THE KTTWC, -Key to the world card, is your door key for your room, your charge card on ship, and your main ID getting on and off the ship. Its linked to the ship system so they can pull up your details, your photo from embarkation etc. Kids can charge unlkess you say no.

Disney dollars can be credited to this account on embarkation, as your account is linked ot a credit card, and DCL charge it if you go over a set ship limit, its best to credit anything early in the cruise to avoid a debit on your Credit card.

They are good.

Quick hello to all!

So sorry about your leg Celestine. You might want to think about getting one of those electric scooters to get around the parks. I can't imagine doing that on crutches.

Been really busy helping out DD and getting to know our DGD . Today is the first day we won't be over there, but we are off to the inlaws for the afternoon. I almost can't wait to get back to school tomorrow! :confused3
