Thankyou - mine has been frantic as it is also DH's birthday today so cooked traditional Sunday lunch for 11 of us. Have finally cleared up & packed them off so we can now get ready for another working week.

We are PIF & I'm jealous of those who can book before April 19 which is our day as silver CC members.

Julie (if you lurk) or Andrew (if you e-mail Julie) - your thoughts are with us and I hope that things improve - you will be sorely missed on the Ballyhoo bus.

Celestine

I do hope Julie reviewed the posts, I have told her in two emails this weekend that many warm Dissers here are sending her all the best wishes possible, However as quoted in her email she requested privacy, at this difficult time.

Booking I know I am in an early booking slot, but I am very frustrated, just want this week over, so I can say its all set.

To All My British Disser Friends

My son who is currently a Junior In High School handed me his top 20 list of colleges & I need some Info!:confused3

He has included 2 schools in England, University of Manchester & University of Birmingham? Dont ask me why I do not know?

Now he is a good student who takes Honors & AP classes & has a 3.5 GPA, so how are these schools, would you recommend something else?:teacher:

Welcome Greg. Feel free to share anything any time. We get ideas and help from each other. Sounds like you are quite together with your trip. We are also sharing info on another thread. No question about it Univ. of B'ham. Why you ask?!? :confused3 B'ham is where you go to the Cadbury factory. :yay: :woohoo: Now that's my idea of a good reason to go to college there. :thumbsup2

Are any FL schools on his list? DD is only interested in going to a FL college and we are all for that provided they are within driving distance of our house down there.

Please read over the first post in this thread as it's full of good info as well as the link to the thread provided by Madisonznana.

Welcome to our new friends!!!!

Julie,
We are praying for you.

Our friends in GB,
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

We can't book excursions until April as well. Good luck to all who book this week!!

Andrew,

I'm pretty sure SallieP pulled out when Izzy did.

Now I'm totally p'oed with DH's boss. He put in his vacation for May 1- April 30, 4 weeks worth, and he was only given 1 of the weeks requested. :scared1: Kind of hard to go on a 12 day cruise and only get 1 week of vacation. But I have to say the only good thing is that his April 24th vacation was not approved as it needs to be changed since DD will have off the week before Easter next year.
Then to make all this worse, the boss is always telling everyone if there is a problem with any vacations he will let them know. Of course, DH didn't get any calls from his boss that there were any problems with any of his weeks that he requested. I really hope DH can get this taken care of because it's not beneath me to go into one of his bosses to tell them he either gets the requested vacation or the boss will be paying for the trip that can't be taken. I've done that before and will do it again if I have to.

Ok rant over...but still not a good thing to hear before I go to bed.

Hi

let you know that I had similar problem last Saturday about next year holiday...:sad2::sad2:

I hand the form for permission for holidays to my boss and my husband's boss..

Well his boss turn it down and refused to give us time off for 2 weeks and 3 days.

Look like we have to cancel the Dream Cruise as we have no choice that we booked one week with RCI and one week with villa...

unless we still will be on RCI for a week better than nothing...

I was upset last weekend as I want to see Dream Disney Cruise - oh well look like we wait for another time for it...

My husband work for 3 people in group that why he find very difficult to get time off..

Yes University of Florida which is rated #2 (in State) #4 (Out of State) in the country By Kiplinger's:confused: I wonder if we can get Florida Resident rates as we have the home in Palm Beach?

Hi...we are new to this thread. Getting very excited for our cruise!
Can anyone boil down the tips for newcomers? I have been tying to search them out, but with 177 pages to go through the task is daunting.

Thanks,

We're still in. We waited a while on airfare, then just decided to go ahead and buy the airfare after combining FF miles and somewhat reduced rates. (The whole FF miles system is really worthless.)

I'm trying to get the kids to start posting in the kids thread.

Our PIF is next week. The only tour we've arranged so far is with Anastasia in STP. We thought a while about going into Berlin but have decided to just stay in the Warnemünde area.

Reminder....Paid in Full date is the end of this week, not next week. Don't want you to miss the boat. My TA said 3/19, but I really think it's 3/20 since she likes a day's cushion to make sure the pay't goes thru.

he was only given 1 of the weeks requested

sounds like a boss I had - here I was 37 weeks pregenant and they were not going to approve my mat leave

I was like well ok then
