I do!!! Tho' you knew that from last year! You are soooo organized - DH would kill me if I started planning next years book as I haven't finished last years yet! If there is enough of us, maybe we could have a scrapbook swap or something?

Celestine

That scrapbook swap party on the PC repo was fun wasn't it:thumbsup2
I haven't worked with the page kits that I received yet. I had never done any scrapbooking before then and was thinking I should take some classes before I touched the kits I received. Found a great store near me that has wonderful classes and supplies and now I have several projects partly finished:headache:
I hadn't planned on starting next year's scrapbook yet, but I came across some great stickers and page kits at a scrapbook convention that they had here in Virginia last weekend. The page kits I found had a couple sheets of paper and stickers and cut-outs to embellish the page. This particular stand had page kits for different countries-England, Russia, Germany and then they also sold scrapbook stickers for countries like Norway, Sweden and Estonia. The women near me must have thought I was nuts getting so excited about the Estonia stickers:laughing:

I think another scrapbook swap would be fun:thumbsup2

Caro & I need some help, DD15 bought this outfit and we need to know what type of footwear she needs for it. For those of you on FB, you have already seen this, so bear with me.

I would say black ballerina flats.

It was $1130 to upgrade at the port from an inside to the cat. 3. It was the 2nd time I had booked a SPH cabin and we have yet to sail in one - the first time we had to cancel the cruise and this time the upgrade.

If you do decide to upgrade and they have either 8102 or 8502 available grab that one - the verandahs are huge on them. They are the very last cabins on deck 8. I'll have to get my pics posted of the cabin this week so you can show your DH.

Concierge can also change your dining table before dinner at the concierge meet after boarding. They booked our beer, wine and martini tastings. I had already booked our brunch before boarding.
We loved being able to order the treats for a pre-arranged delivery time each day and the concierge reception on CC day was nice. DD got a couple of movies to watch in the cabin and they also gave her a big bag of popcorn. She also received 2 arcade cards. The print we received on the last night was very nice. They also come to your cabin the last evening to show you all your pics that Shutters took so you can pay for what you want or turn in what you don't want. We had already looked at them in Shutters so we could order our Christmas cards, put we did find a couple more that we wanted.

I'll let you know if we are able to upgrade again next Sunday, as I already know there are 6 cat. 3's available - or at least they were on Wednesday.

Thanks:thumbsup2
I'm working on DH:cool2:
Once I had him compare the price of the cabins booking ahead of time and that upgrading at the port would be a bargain-he is willing to give it a try:woohoo:

Not sure if we'll have any luck though. We have a room at the MCO Hyatt the night before and taking the transfers from the airport to the port. Not sure if we will make it to the port on time to get an upgrade to a cat 3:confused3

I'm stuck at the shore with no car.......it stopped 4x as I was driving down in "Stop and Go" traffic last Friday.......now I'm waiting for the dealership to call so I can pick it up (when it's fixed)........so far.......nothing......no word........no idea if it will be done today.......nothing..........:confused3:sad2::mad::scared:

Thank you Laurie, what a beautiful cake!:flower3:
You're welcome. It's thanks to Captain Crash. I graduated from his school of image posting;)

Could you please convert to Farenheit!:thumbsup2

Yes, this is the conversion..........

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The Tube in hot weather is just horrible. Trying to find a pair of shorts in London or Stratford Upon Avon in August when it's in the low 90's is not a pleasant experience either.
Ok, that answers my question about whether to bring shorts or not next summer:thumbsup2

Ok, four days, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.........the car repair shop said they're computer was broken so they didn't fix my car........I drove it home and dropped it off at a local dealership (it stopped 3X).........AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:mad:

So now I'm hoping it's fixed by tomorrow night or Thursday morning.......

:hug::hug::hug:
How frustrating:sad2:

(I have already PM'd JillJill)
This is not my first cruise hanging out with DIS'ers. I'm just not as vocal! :confused3

I am booked on this cruise, as are my sister & sister-in-law, Mary and Sandy.
For those in the know, we three were on the FIRST TransAtlantic cruise to Barcelona. I was part of the departure banner team.
Mary & Sandy don't know I'm coming. I'm using DVC vacation points. Anyway, it's to be a big surprise to them. Even more surprising, I booked a cabin for myself. (3 adults in a cabin gets old) :dance3:

I live in Florida full-time, Mary & Sandy live in Rhode Island in the summer, Key West in the winter. They visit me on the way down and back.
I am "between" positions at the moment and studying for a degree in communication; Mary & Sandy are retired Navy medical types.
[OK, so I'm not 20-something] Let's just keep it friendly and call me a baby boomer and leave it at that. :hippie:

I thought that 13 months out was early; apparantly I forgot what DIS'ers are like!
I'll be lurking periodically and maybe asking a question or two from time to time.

Bye,

Welcome aboard:cheer2::cheer2:
Not a 20-something here either:thumbsup2
We're gonna have a lot of fun with the cruise planning:woohoo: Pop in when you can:thumbsup2

Is Friday out of the question??:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Don't mean to laugh but it takes some stress away and you don't want grrrrrrrrrrrr lines around your eyes!::sad2:

We live in DE and part time in Windermere, FL. Unfortunately, we get to summer in FL due to DD's school schedule. We just bought a house down here in May and are really liking it here.
That's what I get for not keeping up on this thread. I was hoping for a summer east coast DIS meet in Baltimore (maybe aquarium). Right now it looks like me and JoAnn and maybe Mike and Linda. I think Mike said the Fall was a better time for him and Linda, would that work better for you as well??
We can do 2 small meets ( I love the aquarium and science center there:lovestruc) -one in summer, one in fall, or just one bigger one in the fall:confused3

Also...What works better for you JoAnn??

If this is Andrew then he's buying drinks for all of us on the ship. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
works for me

DH and I try to joke and laugh when things go wrong too. We got lost in DC today looking for the Brazil consulate and trying to find a place to eat for lunch. DC is really bad when it comes to road signs:headache:
Finally we were just laughing going--WHERE DO THESE PEOLE EAT:eek:
Really, we didn't pass a supermarket either:laughing:

Not as frustrating as what JoAnn is going through--but I had to sit and be quiet while DH was having his temper tantrum driving around DC.

Oh Barb,
Thanks so much for the powerpoint on St. Petersburg:thumbsup2
Very cool:cool1:
I'm thinking no way is 2 days going to be enough time:sad2:
Guess I'll have to go back for a longer trip:confused3

Let's wait until Fall, that way more of us can make it.......this summer has been a little stressful so far for me........the car, the new aunt, too many trips in traffic to the beach and back.......I have to start traveling off hours........:confused3

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH, I hope it doesn't go that long or I'll back in crazy traffic, also my DD22 should be arriving Thursday night and she's going right to the shore, so I want to be there first.......:cool1::cool1:

JoAnn hope the dealer can now fix your car. These car people are driving us all nuts this month. :headache:

We won't go back to DE until the beginning of Aug. and then we go to San Fran for a week and then school starts. So the rest of DD's summer vacation is pretty much gone for being up north.

Sorry, had to laugh about you riding around DC and getting lost. My aunt was telling me the other week she took some friends over there this spring and a couple of weeks after she was there she got some mail from the DC police. She got a ticket for running a red light in the city. Her friends that took her felt sorry for her and took up a collection and paid it for her.

You are most welcome. It really is a good overview of the city. I'm really hoping for a sunny day for at least 1 day we are there. Apparently StP isn't known for lots of sunny days. :headache: :confused3

We didn't get to the port until 10:20 and then I checked in and went down to the supervisor's desk to ask about upgrades. When I checked there were still 6 cat. 3's available. I waited about 5 minutes, until DH got into the terminal, and went back over to do the upgrade and the same 6 cabins were still available. When I was finished with my upgrade another family upgraded an oceanview cabin to a cat. 3 for $1000.

I think the buses start leaving the Hyatt around 9:00-9:30 so you may have a chance so keep your fingers crossed.

WOW, I checked this morning and there were a couple of new posts like normal. I get back from work and THREE PAGES have been added. WOW.

:welcome to our new member. My DW Caro is more chatilicious than I, but I will do the intro. We are Caro & Andrew with our DDs. We are from the Seattle Metro area, but Caro & I were Cast Members at D'land and lived in So Cal for years.

Ok, that answers my question about whether to bring shorts or not next summer:thumbsup2

I took a pair of shorts last summer and wished I had taken another pair along. I did wear them around the ship and should have worn a pair in Warnemunde and Amsterdam.

I also did what Andrew suggested in another post - watch Wimbeldon to get a feel for the weather. We've gone over that same time of year many times and I always watch the matches for a few days to see how the weather is.

I have been doing a bit of catching up on the thread so that's added to the post count. :surfweb:
