I think Caro had as much fun on the Repo as the girls did when it came to checking for new things in the FE. It really is a fun thing to do and the gifts yo get run the gamut from inexpensive knickknacks to personalized.

So are you going to join in this time Robert?

The EB Repo lent itself to that sort of thing as it was a long relaxed cruise!

We will be going going going on the Baltic, but I will consider!

Anyone else made plans yet for staying in or near London before the cruise ??
How far in advance can you book the hotel ?



FE is short for fish exchange. We had that on my last cruise (PC repo in August 2008) and it was a blast.

Advantages and disadvantages to starting it early. The number changes dramatically the closer you get to cruise date.

We'll stay at the Park Plaza London Victoria. I think I can call them now and book it, but I'll just wait until 1 year out and then we should know better how many days we will need.

Our trip is not starting out on a good note: we haven't even left home and already our flight is an hour late. No clue how late it will leave by the time we get up to PHL. So that means no Ghirardelli for us tonight.

We'll be heading out in about an hour. Will catch you all later this week. No internet at the house until next month after I figure out what we will be getting.

Be good and try to stay out of trouble. especially Robert!

What is an FE exchange?

Caro and I have already started collecting FE Gifts, even though we do not know who or how many. The FE on the repo was great, the one on the Podcast was even better.

Robert, where have you been?? FE = FISH EXTENDER. The different pocketed contraptions that DISSERS hang from the fish next to the cabin door so fellow cruisers can drop off trinkets and memorabilia.

Amateurs............sheesh...........u don't know what a FE is? Have you ever sailed on DCL before??? Robster, I AM the shark!!!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone.........we are at the beach getting blown away!! My DD19 brought down 5 college friends and her BF and my Brooklyn DD24 is here with her BF26. Where in Brooklyn are you, BTW....she's in Park Slope.........so we're busy but checking in when we can........

I want to be on the list! Our family is taking the 7-18 cruise next year. We did the Mediterranean 2 yrs ago, and we're looking forward to this one. We're headed out in 4 weeks on a Royal Caribbean cruise to New England/Canada. We're Disney folks, but wanted to head a different direction this year.
