I got to say, I can fully understand the reason, and I cannot see any short term improvement, the economic news isnt good, today reports say the UK has the highest debt per person in the world, and that will hold back our recovery whilst the USA has issues they might start to turn in December.

The exchange rate is poor and short term it ant going to improve, I am still 'on' for the cruise I have until Jan to pay up, but by now i would normally be paying it off in advance, i havent as the rate is so poor, so thats not a good sign.

I am delaying until September post my Summer holiday and will see then...

One thing I have learned in life is never depend on the market to do what is rational.

Keep an eye on the rate & put your pounds away now & when the rate changes to where you would be comfortable strike!

It is kinda like getting a you might be a little early or a little late but at least you are in the ball park!

It's been a quiet few days around here.

Had a blast at WDW, even if it was just for 2 days. Went to all 4 parks, but sadly we didn't go on IASW, not enough time and we had to load up the motorcycle and hit the road Sat. night. Absolutely loved Toy Story Mania, it's so much fun - can't wait to do it again next month.

Yes, thats why I am holding in there it fell quickly so there is always a chance of a recovery between now and early 2010, Clearly it will not go back to $2 a £, but a figure of $1.60> $1.70 would cheer us up.

Honestly, we just put in an order from the bank for pounds before they go back up again. Isn't it funny how things are relative. Right now it's good for us, worse for the UK - when we went on the Med it was the opposite.

I woke up that morning feeling great, by that evening I was in bed with pneumonia and 102 fever (that's 38.9 for those of you in the UK). Now I get it....

Hey Ballyhooers please PM your facebook details as it looks as though we're going to be ducking out of this cruise as the cost of the cruise and all the excursions is just not going to be viable. This way if I sign you up as my facebook friends we can still keep in touch

I have absolutely no idea whether or not we'll be able to afford the trip. What I do know is that this economy is really unpredictable - and the the economists hardly know what's going on either.

And the other thing I know is it costs basically nothing to hold on to the reservation until the 120 day mark - which is still about a year from now.

So it's just not worth stressing over. There's so much that can happen between now and then. And there's plenty of time to enjoy fantasy before allowing reality to interfere.

Oh. I think St. Patty's Day has taken over our colleges and cities in the States this year, everywhere you looked this weekend, there were college students walking around in their green enjoying the holiday. I'm personally not Irish but the rest of my immediate family is....

After the quick trip this past weekend to WDW with 2 teens and my brother this is such a true statement.


Since you had an Irish nanny that should make you an honorary Irishman every day of the year not just on St. Patty's Day.
