& I still haven't finished my scrapbook (as DH keeps reminding me). Wonder which cruise staff will still be there when we go in 11 months time?

I am curious too. When we saw Christaan in May, he expressed his interest in it and that EVERYONE wanted to be doing the BALTIC cruises, at least for the staff.

Yes, when we were on the 7 day Tortola, the waitstaff was very anxious to go to the Baltic. Some of them were sure they'd be there, others were waiting for their contract renewal. The staff members we spoke to that are from areas near the Baltic stops are anxious to be near their homes.

When I sail in a few weeks, I will be asking lots of cast members if they are doing the Baltic . . . the only one I already know is Captain Tom (of course -- he's from Norway) who told us proudly when we sailed over New Year's that he would do all four Baltic cruises . . .

If Daniel (Brit beverage officer/manager - not correct title, but you get the idea) is onboard, check with him - had an on going joke about a desert called a rum baba, and if he's on board we'll have to take one on board!!!!!

Did everyone see that the Eastern Magic sailing with a special stop at Tortola -- the one Andrew and family are on now -- has turned into a Western with two stops at Castaway Cay (they are there today), Grand Cayman, and Cozumel? Hopefully they are not too disappointed and can enjoy the week . . .

Darn, it is that time of year, isn't it. I know it will be a disappointment but hopefully still a fun time.
When we were on our Great Britian cruise, we had to bypass Wales due to weather. It was sad the day of, but the rest of the cruise was so great we went on our way and still enjoyed ourselves.

I sail in less than two weeks now, and as long as I can get on the ship, I am going to enjoy the week regardless of what happens! Yesterday I did a little research into what I would do if we changed ports so that I am prepared just in case . . .

I learnt that the hard way in 2006 we were on a Western turned Eastern because of Ernesto & I had only researched the Western ports - will not make the same mistake again! That said, we had a great cruise and just pottered around in port. Watching Ana & Bill as we fly to the world on Saturday & DH has just bought tickets to watch the shuttle launch

I was just thinking of Andrew this AM and told Tom that we were really lucky when we cruised the weather was good. Two stops at CC is always nice. It is a shame though. Hopefully they are enjoying themselves. It's impossible not to.
