Great News for your daughter JoAnn! It must be such a relief. And thanks for the info on the rotating banner. I did it!

:wave2: 'Morning all!!! 'Afternoon to those on the other side of the pond.

Internet connection decided to not work for our area last night. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: I felt like I was disconnected from the world, at least the Ballyhoo world.

Congrats to all who have had good news this week. :cheer2: pixiedust: :grouphug:

Hi everyone

I just got in and wanted to share some good news. My son received his first college acceptance letter today. He was admitted to Hampton University, his number one choice.:cheer2:

It's hard to believe that in just seven short months I'll be taking him off to college. The time goes by much too fast. The fact that he's an only child doesn't help much.:sad1:

Wow, congrats, big day! Where are you in Brooklyn? My oldest is in Park Slope.:grouphug: How far away is the university from you?

Thank you again I'll take that as a compliment........I think it's going to be a long haul for all of us over the next 18 months for many varied reasons all we can do it hang in there and keep on being Chattylicious Ballyhooers !!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

 pirate: :thumbsup2 :crowded: :beach: pixiedust:

Impressive rotating banner!! Woohoo......you can thank Andrew & Carolyn who taught me how to do it!:cool1:

Hope all are well.......more girls coming home today, so I have to go clean the house.........

we just lost ours in early January and had a flood in our basement.......what a mess..........GL with all that!

Thanks.

We used to have a lot of water issues in our basement. When we refinished it a couple of years ago, we had a new French drain type system put in. The guy who did it suggested cutting the trench out and around our furnace and water heater. Luckily, we listened to him. All of the water went through the drain to our sump pit. I also installed a raised subfloor before we carpeted, just in case.

My Dad is coming over to help me out. He has all of his plumbing tools and knows what he's doing. He plumbed their entire house when they built it. I can do a good amount of things around the house, but I don't do plumbing (especially when it involves using a blowtorch near my gas pipes.

Congrats:cheer2: :cheer2: What a relief it must be to know where he's going so early in the year:thumbsup2
Maybe you can keep in touch with him by Facebook:confused3

Good day to you to!

I'll be spending the day replacing our hot water heater, which sprung a leak overnight. But it is what it is, so we'll still do our best to have a good day.

Impressive:scratchin
We would have just called a repair man for installation:upsidedow
Hope it goes smoothly:flower3:

Lucky you. I wish we had a plumber and/or a car mechanic in our family:guilty:

OMG, LaTanya, that is fantastic:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: This past week was a tremendous one in so many ways!!!!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Will he go on the Baltic cruise, or is it too early to know?

Let's get together soon.

He says it’s too early to decide if he wants to go or not..:confused3

Yes, we have to get together real soon.

Great News LaTanya!!!!!! I know it will be difficult, but you might actually speak with him more often than you do now (especially when funds get low!!!):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My mom reminded me this morning of how often my sister and I called home for money when we were in college. Of course I don't remember calling as often as she says I did.:lmao:

I live in Bedford-Stuyvestant about 15 minutes from Park Slope.

La Tanya,

It sounds like your son has a good head on his shoulders. He must be thrilled he got into his first choice, but he wants to weigh all his options first. Smart kid! :goodvibes

Thanks
