Eh, yes and no. Started off not so good when nobody knew we were even having the meeting because the principal (who was the one who called me to schedule it) didn't actually schedule it. That really set me off.

It did get better though and hopefully in the long run will be a success. Basically the high school was not following Alana's 504 Plan (like an IEP) the first semester. After not getting responses from the teachers or satisfatory responses from the counselor, I went right to the top of talked to the principal. He wasn't pleased with the staff. Due to their inaction on not following the 504, the grades for the 3 classes that Alana didn't pass 1st semester are being changed to a
P (passing). I'm going to make sure i stress to Alana that she basically got a "Free Pass" this past semester and it WON'T be happening again. I will advocate for her when I feel it is neccessary, but she is responsible too.
The principal, counselor and I (with Alana there) talked to the majority of her teachers one on one today and we all know what we need to do for Alana to have success. The principal even wants me to include him in emails to teachers so he stays on top of this.
It's been a long struggle with Alana and school and I'm not going to allow her to fall between the cracks. She is a bright girl who has major troubles applying herself.
Aren't you so glad that you replied, Barb!
