Now that I got the real world things done, I can come back to my vacation world, which is much better.

I hear you. I'm supposed to be studying for a test on friday, but this is so much nicer.

Small doesn't even begin to describe their showers. We used to have a camper and a motorhome and the showers in them were bigger than the ones on the Carnival cruise that DD & I took last summer.
Now for our Baltics cruise we had a spa suite so we had a real bathroom with a real tub and it was nice.

Now that sounds really nice.:thumbsup2

Ok so does a spa suite = a DCL Cat 4 then :confused3

Had to call it the real world since it's cold out.

Yea Paul and were just saying is got cold all of a sudden tonight. It's been resonably mild today, I didn't even wear my hat this morning, but in the last 30 mins the temp seems to a dropped dramatically :scared:

I'm pretty sure we ended up in the 130's. I did up a map for all of the Dis'ers on the cruise, and color coded the cabins so we could include everyone, whether or not they wanted to do the FE exchange.
That was awesome:thumbsup2 Thanks so much for that:goodvibes

I had Zack walk around to deliver with me. We got to Sandra's cabin, and he must have looked pitiful, because she invited us in and shared her candy with him.
I dragged my kids around and had Darren help a bit too. It was kinda fun seeing areas of the ship I didn't know about before:laughing:

I'm sure you'll see a ton on this cruise, just on our door alone. We kept adding signs for each new port, and we got quite a few as FE gifts. By the end of the cruise, there was very little bare door left. And I can't believe we forgot to take a picture of them!:headache:
me too:sad2:

Looks like as you've got previous experience that you just volunteerd yourself for another job :rotfl: :rotfl:
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Should we just keep on going? What happens if you post and there is no room? Are you just out there in cyber space?
Lost in Space...
Anyone watch that way back when:rolleyes1

It was OVER 130 . . . I won't mention who was in charge of taking names but I know for a fact that it was over 130 and people kept asking to join after our cut-off date. I don't think it will be that many on this cruise . . .
I think I blocked out the actually number:lmao:

We will definitely do it again and will try to make sure it is a date you and Linda can make it:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I didn't even research other lines after taking one RCCL cruise and missing DCL the entire time . . . however, I will say that you really do have to take into consideration the room sizes -- on most other lines you have to get a junior suite to get the same size cabin DCL has in cats 10-5 . . .
We noticed the difference in room sizes and the soda fees and the ice cream fees..it adds up:rolleyes:

I just got an email that i need to fill out my application for graduation and bring it to school on Friday!:woohoo:

That's one more sign that there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

I start rotation number 5 on Tuesday. Only 3 more to go until graduation.

And we just rented a fire hall for my graduation party. Who's coming?!?!?

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Unless it is mid-march, I'm there:laughing:
I gotta go to Orlando mid-march for Andrew's band trip (darn:laughing: )

I would say in square footage they are probably the same it was laid out more in a square than oblong. We had a little tiny hallway and off that to the right was the walk in closet with vanity and then you went into the bathroom. About 2 feet later was the desk and beyond that was the couch and chair. Directely in front of the couch was the bed with another big closet and next to the closet was the 'bar' and tv. We had plenty of storage but not much floor space. The verandah was a decent size compared to the cabin. But I booked it for the bathroom and the spa access for 12 days.

We booked a catagorie 5 hoping for a bump up!!!

Keep on dreaming at this point. I was just checking the DCL site a couple of days ago and the cat. 4's weren't even showing up as available and that was only looking for 3 people. I haven't asked my TA is any of the suites are available or not, I'm afraid to find out if any are right now.

I think I'll probably stick with DCL after reading all this stuff about the other lines. I know the headline figure is alot more on DCL but when you add in all the extras like paying for soft drinks and ice cream, the cabin/bathroom sizes, plain old Disney magic and or course not forgetting the DIS family there really is no contest.

Not having cruised any other line, but watched the t.v. adverts. Do I take it they "do" the shops and and the "attractions" i.e flow rider, climing wall, golf, etc really well but the staterooms leave a bit to be desired :confused3 :confused3
That's what I heard too:confused3
At least the price difference, if there is one, is much less when you take room size into consideration:confused3

I have only been on Disney, Princess and RCCL. Disney has the best staterooms in their class. I like Princess second and RCCL comes in third.:thumbsup2
Good to know. I've gotta try another line ....some day

Well that sounds good too!

I graduate in the middle of May. My party is going to be on May 31. It's the Sunday after Memorial Day weekend. We're in the burbs, just South of Philly.

Good, I can't think of anything we have to do then. We may be crashing your party. NO SPEEDOS:rolleyes1

I wouldn't have thought so for a second and I doubt they ever will be

There weren't any 2 bedroom suites available when we called. My sil' s travel agent talked us into the 5. I would have been just as happy with a 6.

Yup, the DIS family definitely pushed us to choose DCL:thumbsup2

We got a cat. 7 on deck 7. I was going to go for a cat. 9 but figured since we like the verandah so much on the last Baltics we would just go for it again this time. My brother is in an assigned cat. 4 and this is their first DCL cruise.

If they bump us up to a CAT 3, then you can have our CAT 4!

It's not crashing...you're invited!

(As long as you remember that no speedos rule)

It's a good feeling to walk around the ship and just say hi to people that you know. Plus it's nice to have extra eyes on the kids.

The whole time on our Baltics cruise we kept saying we wished we were on a DCL ship since we kept getting bored. :sad2:

We've been lucky enough to get a Cat 4 as well. I "signed up" with 3 travel agents before the cruise was released and only 2 of them were able to get Cat 4 with an assigned room number, the other agent was only able to get us a GTY Cat 4 so I think getting an upgrade to anything above a cat 9 would be highly unlikely

Are you going to be passing the hat around to take up donations to pay for your cruise or to pay for school?!? :rolleyes1 :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Not that I'm giving you any ideas.
