I like Universal -- and we haven't been since the summer of 2006 -- you are right, I think the Simpsons ride is the only new one but I like all the old ones too . . . staying at Portofino which is my favorite hotel there (we've stayed there before as well as at Hard Rock) and with the onsite front of the line passes it's nice to relax and not race to get to things first thing in the morning . . . it's also nice to walk everywhere and not have to wait for buses.

Of course WDW is our first love, and if our arrival next Friday is on time, we will spend the afternoon/evening at Epcot, and the day we get off the ship will go to (probably) AK that day . . .

I like the FOTL passes when you stay onsite, we have stayed both times at the Royal Pacific, I like the rooms and location, but must say the service and staff training there was bad. Maybe the second time I should have gone to Hard Rock.

With FOTL, we are on everything so fast, I know Shrek had a two hour wait and we just went straight into the show, we could finish off and go back to the RP for a swim, its pool is lagoon style and very nice, kids liked that.

One of my favorite rides was back to the future replaced by the Simpson's, but I also like The Mummy, ( better in Hollywood) and Men in black.

Staying both times for 7 nights was too much, I did Clearwater, Kennedy, and Seawold from there as well and still ended up repeating rides.

We just went to Universal this past summer and stayed at Portofino.....we did have fun but I think the highlight was the shopping at Citywalk and the restaurants there! We liked Portofino but the launch back and forth was a little frustrating.

You will have a wonderful time.........:dance3: However, my favorite is still staying at any WDW resort!:thumbsup2

You aren't supposed to leave your phone at home when the weather is bad.
Now you tell me that! :lmao:

I can pack at the drop of a hat if I need to. :lmao: :rotfl:
I packed for a 3 week cross country trip for DD & I with 3 days notice. Packing for a 4 day cruise in May will not be a problem for me.

I'm doing :laundy: too, do you want to come and help me?!? :confused3 :worship:
I told DD tonight if she wants to pack it, she better not wear it in the next few days. Laundry is not guaranteed to be done before we leave.
This is very good to know! You just never know when you might get that call to puck up your bags and be on your way to Port Canaveral!

We've never done Universal. Did the one in LA zillions of years ago (pre-kids). Of course considering this trip is only the girls 2nd trip to WDW, I guess it's not too surprising!

I'm one tired person tonight. I worked 10 hours of overtime today. This is in addition to the 4 hours of overtime I put in during the week. Between that and the weather we've had this week, it's been a long one. My boss told me I could work tomorrow too, if I wanted. I declined the offer!

The snow has been falling lightly, but steadily for about 5 hours now and is supposed to continue through the night. The roads are covered, but luckily not icy yet. Waiting for the wind to start picking up too. I just keep remembering that in a week, I'll be in Florida!

Have a wonderful time on your vacay! Most of the country has been having some crazy snow, but not us yet! I still have 2 days of school so think of me next week.........

I don't mind driving overnight so I can leave the day before and get there. Now that can be some fast packing and driving.

BTW...when is your cruise and when is your anniversary? Our anniversary is 5/20 and DD's b'day is 5/27. Before anyone asks...we were married for 6 years before she was born. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

The cruise is May 10-14 and our anniversary is May 12.

WARNING **SUMMER AND HOT PICTURE- NOT SMALL WORLD.**

This looks like what we will be seeing at the end of the week, although not in shorts.
Where was this pic taken?

Merry Christmas Laura.

:santa: Merry Christmas Andrew! :santa:

We had a horrendous day on Wednesday - rain ALL day - but I was all cozy inside wrapping presents.

I think all the Christmas shopping is done except for any last minute things but I hope not to have to go out at all but we shall see. DH usually tries to outdo me. Will let you know if I get anything good! :rotfl2: ;)

If I don't get a chance to wish you all Merry Christmas please consider it so!

Take care all - got to wrap some last minute gifts I picked up today. Took mom shopping and the traffic wasn't too bad. I was very lucky and found a parking spot almost right away each time. DH took over 40 minutes to find a spot and he ended up having to valet it at the mall. Course, had he avoided the mall like I warned him - he'd of been in and out in no time.

Talk to you later!

My preference is any Monorail resort at WDW, we tend to go to Polynesian and Contemporary, we have stayed at others but the bus journey puts me off.

GOOD MORNING AND AFTERNOON BALLYHOOERS!!!!

Everything is white, white, white outside. Not many people driving. 6 more sleeps plus 1 on the plane and we'll be seeing Pooh! pooh: :tigger: :eeyore:

So you not only get an anniversary cruise you get a Mother's Day cruise. That means double gifts on the ship. :lmao: :rotfl:   :flower3:
:cool1: :cool1:
We still need to figure out what is happening with the girls. This is the problem.

Is DH or the teen out shovelling yet?!? :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

We woke up to rain that has turned to a layer of ice. I hope it melts since we have friends coming over for dinner tonight.
