Don't forget Junior's for cheesecake. :yay: Their sandwiches are really good too and so are the black & white cookies. mmmmm....

Now I have to figure out when to get up there to get cookies and cheesecake. :woohoo:

We just got back from the kids' school conferences, and got good reports on all of them. There are some things they need to work on, but overall, we're very proud of them.

Congrats to the kids Mike!! I start my students' conferences next week, and I have Carley's next week too I think! Believe it or not, its just as hard on the teachers as it is on the parents!!

Oh yes before I go, what do all you ladies think of this ??

Hey Guys,

Need your help, got an idea yesterday. You all know that I sponsor 2 soldiers right? Well, I've been in a state because I recently had some packages returned. My first thought was that something had happened. I haven't heard from any since before May but I plod along as usual assuming they get the packages as they have never returned.

So last Monday, one package came back. Finally heard from on organization and they reassigned me to another. The other organization does not have anyone right now but DESPARATELY needs help for some wounded soldiers at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center I believe in Germany?????

Anyway, they are trying to fullfill a request from the Chaplain over there -they want to hand out 500 Christmas Stockings and she only has 30 pledges right now. I believe with the economy being the way it is - she may not get this request filled. I, myself, am committed to 3 and I thought - what better way than my DIS family to try and help.

So, here is what is needed. This is a one time project and much simpler to committ to than a one year writing committment. All that is required is stocking with some of the following items in it to be mailed before Thanksgiving and if using priority mail - by December 1st. HOWEVER, even if you miss that deadline, please mail it. The organization likes to hand out the stocking to wounded soldiers around Thanksgiving. Last year this lady orgainzed 1000 stockings.

SO, if anyone is interested, please PM me and I will give you more details on what to buy and who to write too to get the address. You all know for security reasons I will not post here but it is of vital importantace that we help our wounded if we can. Also, don't feel like you can't help if you can't sew - I am DEFINITELY not a sewer but we have this wonderful Dollar Tree Store that sells stockings for $1. That I can do!

Thank you all for listening!

:goodvibes
PM'd you Laura!!

I am watching a really interesting program called Danger Men : Red Arrows it's all about the RAF's Red arrows formation team and it really is fasinating stuff :thumbsup2

The Lobster & Rum Runners are only for the Brotherhood!:woohoo:

I can get my own chocolate when I get to London Then!:snooty:

But Cadbury creme eggs won't be available in July. They seasonal over there too. So you will have to be nice to Izzi to get them in your FE. :cool1: :rotfl2:

I'm not panicing at all - I plan on buying my own in London and in every other country we visit.

Maybe we should hold our own nightly event ..... a Ballylicious analysis of the chocolate we've bought that day I can see it now in the Quiet cove with a lovely coffee and some cheese and biscuits :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Great group activity :grouphug:
