Thanks, loved the CC shot!!!:cloud9:

I had a Christmas meal last week, I have done a little Christmas shopping, which for me is good, I leave that to the last minute, but its more the kids say I want that for Christmas and getting it there and then rather than waiting to do it myself and get it wrong.

I work this coming week, then have the whole of Christmas week off, and back on the 29th for three days.

Hows yours going???????????????????

The Weather here isn't nice, I call it 'Dank' dark, cold wet, miserable, not snowing, which would make it better, but D.U.L.L, Dull.....

That pretty much describes what we've been getting too..........:confused3 I would love some snow right now..........:yay:

Well, doesn't sound too bad . . . I have all of my presents obtained and wrapped, even, except for one thing I am trying to find for my father . . . the girls' last day at school is this Friday and there are holiday concerts on Thursday night and Friday morning that they are in . . . tomorrow the two younger ones who are in choir at church are singing at Lessons and Carols evensong . . .I even got FE gifts ready for the Disgroup for the Dec. 27 NYE cruise (only 16! much smaller than the PC cruise) but haven't packed or thought much about packing for that one.

Sounds like a great plan to me!! How fun! We expect a full report (at least some great pics!) My school goes up to the 23rd but then we're off until the 5th, which is a long break for us.:woohoo:

Ah she knows I do not mean it in a nasty way!!!:hippie: :lovestruc

I loved the CC shot, too . . . I am really looking forward to seeing the ship and CC all decorated for Christmas, since we have never sailed over the holidays.

I have seen photos on the DCL photo of the day thread and they have dressed it up great agian this year, always a bit funny seeing Christmas and hot bahamas together.

Reminds me when I had Christmas in Barboados a few years back and the kids were water skiing on CHristmas day and Santa came in on a boat!

I could really use a tan right now..........no holiday trips for us this year due to the girls being scattered so.............we booked St. Thomas for Easter week. I found a great website and already received fantastic literature regarding our trip............it's all we've got right now to stop thinking about the frigid temperatures outside.............:beach:

Too funny! Yes, it will be odd to put snowmen and palm trees together . . .

Where are you staying on St. Thomas? I have spent the day at Sapphire beach and it was wonderful.

Yes 'dank' boring drizzle, cold and well miserable, not even Christmassy.

We were just like that until Thursday night, Andrew and now everything is ice and white. Not too safe to take a step!:woohoo: . Of course the Christmas lights do look nice shinning through it, but you don't want to be out in it!

I really prefer your snowman with the palm tree and agree with JoAnn that a suntan feels good as mine is now faded!:worship: .

We only had 30 FE exchanges on this last cruise, but we got some of the most unusual gifts. As soon as we got on the ship I thought someond from this cruise was on board as I had to take a second look at a magnet on our door that had the "Small World Ship" on it, but it said to Castaway Cay and then it had both of our names on it. Someone got on board very early and had everyone's door done.

You just meet the nicest people on the Disboard, don't you?

Keep baking, girls---it's cinnamon sugared pecans and peanutbutter fudge tonight!

I really like being the taste tester!:dance3:

This sounds like DD's school. She will be given a huge project next Friday which gets turned in on the 6th. I told her she will have to have it done before we fly out Christmas evening so she doesn't have to do it while we are away. She has to make sure she does a really good job on it since it will have a big impact on her going back to the school in her chosen career field for 10th grade.

I would love to see palm trees and sand right now but we will have to settle for desert and cactus with mountains in the background come Christmas night. We are flying out to Phoenix to meet up with a DIS family and then we are all going down to Tucson for a few days and to celebrate NYE.

I would love to get your cinnamon sugared pecan recipe if you will share.
I just make a pineapple upside down cake to take to our family dinner and some cheaters chocolate covered pretzels - just take the small pretzels put a Hershey's Kiss on them and bake for a few minutes, very easy.

 We should all post a recipe that we like to make at the holidays.

I'll have to look one up since I haven't gotten into the baking mood yet.

Where are you staying on St. Thomas? I have spent the day at Sapphire beach and it was wonderful.

I'm staying at the Marriott's Frenchman's Reef in Charlotte Amalie.......I found a great deal..........5 nights for the price of 4 plus breakfast. I also found good airfare (I used my AE miles to help out with that) nonstop.     It's just going to be Ken & I at this point b/c I don't think the girls school or work schedules can afford them the time off........

So I fully plan to be tan by the end of that week!!

I hate when schools assign those kind of projects..........have a wonderful time, that sounds great!
