7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

(And Robert). (Inc Robert). Wow it is a good thing you are on the other side of the ship & lets see who gets to your special seats in the WDT:headache: first! ::yes::

King of the one liners.........................................

:goodvibes:lmao::rotfl2:

My Special seats !!!!!! ok 14 of 15 nights on the Panama we had the same ones, but we have seen most shows and will be late at least three nights!!! Even if on DCL tours, I will be out at night!!!

Now don't challenge me to much or I know your weak spot, --

Do you recall I posted this long time ago, on one of the DCL cruises we were at the door, had been there front of line for 8pm, and a couple behind us were standing there, their son came up about 7.58pm, when i say son he was late teen early twenties, door opened, he pushed me with his elbow into the door frame, quite hard and shot down to the front seats.

My family sat where we normally sit, but my side hurt for about two months later, all on a DCL cruise.

Thank you Monica,

I am going to have to get a big round of drinks in on the cruise,

(Charge it to Robert);)
That will be the day I have my "Who's been Naughty & who's been nice list" & you know where you stand ANDREW!:headache:;)

But every one has been so nice,

From the FE to the Coaches, to hosting the main thread, to the Kids Thread, to booking packages for the Eye and Porters, everyone has done a bit.

At let us recall who was here at the start but cant cruise with us, for whatever reason, many contributed at the start, Julie, Sally, Mike, and Izzie, who made part 1 go so so quickly...:rotfl:
This is very true I very much wish Izzie was still going with us:sad1:

As for Anastasia

I agree Andrew they make me nervous however I will wait & see how you handle it.

I had a guide & driver set up for Portugal & all of a sudden I got an e-mail today asking for payment for the van in advance & this was not mentioned earlier!

This was not what we agreed to they wanted me to wire them the money So I asked if I could use paypal. I would not have minded paying Anastasia that way either!

Hi Andrew,

Have you checked with any of the other tour agencies? Before I joined in with others I had some correspondence with SPB Tours and they seemed great. They were very prompt. Maybe they can accommodate you even though it is last minute.

Monica

Still have an open mind everyone rates them so highly, all the cruisers say they are good, this could be solved in about 5 mins, but hasn't been, the money is sitting at their Bank but they want clarification and I cant give it.

I will swap to DCL tours if not resolved, a lot of hard work up in smoke!!!

I do remember that but it wasnt my son he was no where to be found on that cruise (He was out having a too good of a time did not want to be with his parents) Now if you blamed my daughter I would have given you the benefit of the doubt ::yes:::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

I do remember that incident though as I think I remember you hobbling to the seats next to us! ::yes::

I do not have a swelled head!:headache::rolleyes1 Maybe I am a swell guy!:thumbsup2

Freudian slip!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yes, Andrew, so nice of you to remember our friends that couldn't make it. I hope to have lunch with Julie when we return. :lovestruc

I am often on the Naughty list. Eeverything so far had been so good, they didnt advise me against it, they say many people do it, the issue is the response, not lets sort it out quickly but you will have to pay another way, when part is Russian Banking system and part was their fault. All I need as an email with some details and its sorted.

I can recall to this day who, and they had no connection with you, (unless you set me up to get thoose seats!!) Yes I did hobble down, my kids looked around and said where are you??? thinking I was just behind, but had been introduced to the door frame by that boys elbow!! It wasn't over zealous, it was deliberate!!

Julie and I correspond regularly, give her a nice kiss :lovestruc from me!!!

She is a loverly lady, and also highly respected and missed here.

I agree with the others - thanks for all your help and advice Andrew. Now I am nervous about our Anastasia booking as well :( Hopefully since we are just planning ot bring cash to pay them that day we won't have a problem.

Firstly thanks again but more importantly, please do not get over worried, I hope and expect it to get resolved, maybe thats the issue, my expectations was this is no big deal and could be solved quickly, but for some reason hasn't.

The trip reports for them have been very good, but on this one case, I am not pleased at the moment.

I just realized that i can start checking the 10 day weather forecast for London today! :woohoo::cool1::thumbsup2

So update me Ladies and Gents,

When are you all coming across the pond?

And who is staying in London and where???

We will be in the morning of July 15 and are staying at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. We are doing the London Eye, Cruise on river Thames and Porter's that evening. We are going to the French resturant Mon Plaisir on Saturday and then on to the Lion King and we have a High Tea reserved at the Georgian Resturant in Harrods for the 16th. We also plan on going to the Tower of London, the British Museum, and to see the changing of the guards. I do not know if we will stop while in London.

Why do you bother with a hotel room? :rotfl2:
I got tired just reading your plans. :lmao:

I think we're all going to need a sea day to recover from having fun in London!

Yes, I think we'll all need that sea day.

Can't wait for the navigator for Tallinn to be posted!

Good Evening Everyone :wave2:

I need help from the "other side of the pond". My husband has had bariatric surgery. He is not allowed to drink carbonated drinks and his drinks must be sugar free. Here at home he drinks an Orangeade and diet Lemonade.

From what I see on the boat, he will be limited to water and milk (he doesn't like tea unless it's thick with sugar...imagine, he's not even southern)

Anyway, we were hoping we could find a British drink that would work for him. We'd like to buy something while in London and bring it onboard (along with a truckload of water bottles...they are expensive).

Thanks for any suggestions. We'll be in London for four days before cruise and will have ample time to "check out" the suggestions made. Thank you very much for the help.

We are leaving for London in less than 68 hours...but who is counting? We have rented a property in Kensington and have many wonderful plans. Thank you all for your help in planning our London vacation and port excursions. Wishing everyone a safe journey and looking forward to meeting you all.

For those wondering about Stockholm and Sigtuna my friend did that tour last week and it still includes lunch whereas Skansen does not. I believe she said they served chicken. Our all aboard time in Stockholm was 3:45. She was aboard before that so I don't know if it will affect your times to shorten the day.

They ran a free shuttle from the ship to the side of the Royal Palace in the Old Town but there were issues with extremely long lines of people waiting to return to the ship in the afternoon. They ran four buses but it still took time.

Yes there were bugs in St. Petersburg, large ones. They landed on me but I don't recall them biting me.

Bring sunscreen.

Thanks so much for the info:thumbsup2

How is your toe doing? I recall you hurt it right before your cruise:guilty:
I've done that too many times myself:headache:

Well this may seem like a silly question but we are on quite a budget for this trip and I am wondering if anyone could tell me what I should budget for meals for a family of 4 (2 adults, 11 yr old and 20 mth old) in London or Glasgow. I want to make sure I have enough money for food before spending too much play money :cool1:

We leave on Friday :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: so this is becoming real pretty soon...can't wait to meet everyone. And I agree with everyone else who has posted this, Thank you Andrew for all your help in making this trip extra special. Your reply almost had me in tears, so sweet.
