7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Ah yes.....please report me to the Scrumpy Bobby's. :rotfl2: :drinking1 :lmao:

I'm so bad.....Alexa and I will now be platinum for this cruise, I just booked us on a 5 day sailing next month. Gotta love those FL resident rates.

Now does anyone know if having someone in the cabin that is platinum and under 18 give the adults in the cabin the 'free' Palo dinner? She's booked in my friends' cabin and they were a cat. 4 GTY and just rec'd their cabin assignment today and we all couldn't be happier with it, they are almost directly above us.
I have determined that you have become Addicted to Disney Cruiseing you need to go to another cruise line to Dry Out!:lmao:

I am really hoping someone from an earlier Baltic cruise posts navigators that will help with somethings

hot hot hot here - broke down and turned on ac
Hot here too:thumbsup2

We are going to benefit from being the last Baltic cruise-hopefully they will work out all the bugs by the time we get on board:cool1:
Noticed that the people on the baltic cruise before us are getting their cruise docs so we are probably not far behind:woohoo:

Wow, good question. I would imagine they all should get it-but she is exempt because of her age:confused3

I am using the hotel internet connection that goes by the 10 mins so I have to be fast so sorry for the typos, no pictures until our return, I havent brought any of our laptops, just IPhones, the heat isnt good for them and travelling light, there is connections here but its just for mins only.

We have had a day by the pool, my Mrs asked whens lunch and dinner and my DD Alice answered thats the next holiday thats highly organised, and everything on a timetable this one is just for relaxing.

Hot sunny, good food, great sights, lots of donkeys, :woohoo: Lindos doesn have transport in the town bar Donkeys traffic is banned.

still answered 5 PM's today will have to switch it off.

Stacey (justmestace) and her son and DH and our family had a fun afternoon together yesterday! She is just as funny in person as she is online!
I'm ready for the Baltic cruise after the treks Andrew took us on yesterday! We walked from their hotel on the waterfront to Seattle Center. It's straight up hill! Stace and I would walk up one block and hope and pray that the light was going to be red, so that we could stop and rest for a minute. Nope, it would turn green just as we got there! We survived though!

Went up the Space Needle, Stace survived that also, she has a thing about heights! It was cloudy and overcast, so couldn't see a lot. Stace sent a picture of Andrew, me and her to Barb. Maybe Barb can figure out how to post it here!

We when trekked to a glassblowing studio. Stace's son does some incredible glassblowing, so he wanted to check it out. Really, really, interesting to watch! Kathryn has now decided she is going to become a glassblower! She stood there probably 45 minutes mesmerized by it!

We then trekked back to their hotel. Since we had gone all UPhill on the way there, Stacey and I figured it should be all downhill back. WRONG!!!!! WE turned one corner and there was a little bit of uphill! We managed to make it back to the hotel and relaxed and chatted in the lobby for a couple hours.

BON VOYAGE STACEY AND FRIENDS!!!! Have a great cruise!

Caro, I'm really hoping the glassblower is still in Tallin. If he's still there then Kathryn will love that. Can't remember his exact location, but he's in a store front that is off an alley near the Sweater Wall. Now when you get there you will really laugh at this, since there are many alleys and several are off the Sweater Wall. Just don't get mad at me if you get lost trying to find the shop/studio. I have the artist name - Kai Koppel - not that it will help too much now.

Robert, don't give up your day job to be a comedian. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We've done the 'other' cruise line thing and just prefer DCL for now. It's more like I'm addicted to vacationing. At least for that cruise I don't have to research and plan, just going to relax and walk around KW for a bit.

We're going to pass on the Indian restaurant in London. DH has decided that the vegan restaurant the other night was enough of leaving the comfort zone for the year.

Some people appreciate my sense of humor & some people need to excercise theirs a little more!::yes:::clown:

See if it was up to me I would skip the Vegan & go for the Indian food!:thumbsup2

Did you see they have run out of Mickey Bars on the Magic, sometime around 5/15, I was pretty sure they did not have the normal Mickey Bars when we were on the Med cruise in 2007! ::yes::

I have actually started a very "Type A" packing list for our trip. I have wonderful new luggage that I'm itching to pack. My children, Caleb and Ivey, have joined the thread for kids for our cruise. Now that school is ending, they are getting excited as well.

We are riding the bus to Dover that Celestine so kindly coordinated. I think we are riding with the Kouris?

We have planned a day in Liverpool because we are big Beatles fans.

On top of all that has to be done before the trip, I am also running for a State Senate seat! Never a dull moment around here :cheer2:

Can't wait to meet everyone.
Beth

:sad1: Yes I saw they have run out of :mickeybar . We'll have to get our fill of them on the 6/22 Wonder sailing. ::yes::

I didn't say I didn't appreciate your sense of humor, I just said to not give up your day job.

From what I read on the thread about the Mickey bars is that there is no European supplier they can get them from. :sad1: :sad2:

Kathryn is ready to go! Hopefully you'll be able to help me out a little more!

They better figure out how to get some! How could they be so off in their estimates of how many they'd go through?

Alexa has helped a little bit, she said there are brick arches along the alley. :rotfl2: There are many brick arches in the old town.
But Jay remembered it was down the alley from the art shop where the artist sets up his easel in the alley.
Had I known that we would be going back to Tallin I would have made a note of exactly where the glass shop/studio was located. :headache:

I guess they could have filled the freezers with only Mickey bars and still not had enough for all the European sailings. But knowing how much we all love them you would think they would be able to find a supplier that carries something close to them.

Is anyone else flying British Airways to get to London? We are booked on BA, and we're kind of getting stressed about the strike; just wondering if anyone has any experience on how worried we should be, and what we can do about it?

Not to worry, they may not be Mickey-shaped, but there are plenty of yummy chocolate-covered ice cream bars sold from carts all over that part of the world, or at least there were when I was last in Scandinavia and the Baltics. There was one called "Magnum" that was really good. DCL should stock up on some of those!
