OK, I am off, I will see you 'all, in three weeks,,,,,,,,
I think it just seems I make a few posts, when I am here, as its been rather quite of late,
We 'all' need to get going on planning, work together, and ensure we 'all' have a fantastic cruise.
Andrew...,really looking forward to seeing Oliver ( sorry we missed Mr Bean ) AND eating at your favorite.....Old Dutch Pancake !!
Oliver has had rave reviews, and is very popular ( or as they sign in the WestEnd Pop-uuuu-Lar), change of leading lady recently but still well worth a good evenings entertainment. When you say Mr Bean do you mean the parting of our old Prime Minister Gordon Brown?
Andrew,
Welcome back, I was only saying to Celestine today that I thought this thread needed a boost....as ever all your info is on mass. Now I hate to correct the Oracle

of
DCL, but I believe you made a mistake on the Park Plaza Westminster Pin, it is B on that google map, as it is in the middle of the junction, the A pin is the County plaza.
We have done extensive recces today for the Balyhoo bus (still places left onboard coach 2 if anyone is interested) and we will be sending out details to all bus travellers on Sunday. Just need to buy the rocket fuel for Robert now
Posting for Celestine this evening as she is nursing sore eyes

from her lasek today in Harley St, which we think has gone very well. She can already read road signs from about three times the normal distance without glasses. Still won't be able to drive as well as me though

she has has gone to bed looking very strange in her tinted goggles they give you!
Hi Paul,
The thread was rather quite recently and we all need to get together to get some of the information together the other Baltic threads have been very active recently, I have read them, more than anything else recently, they have good info, but occasionally i am tempted to correct when info isn't correct.
Sorry re location of Hotel, with two similar hotel names it can lead to that mistake, I have seen them and walked past them, and also seen them from the Waterloo SouthWestTrains service, as I go past them to West London and Feltham area. Thanks for helping out.
Paul hope the eye surgery for Celestine has gone well. I would be soo scared to do that.
Hi Paul, please make it good tasting scrumpy I like the apple taste!

: funny the DW & I were just talking about whether to buy some hard stuff to bring with us!
I booked my Big Bus tickets & Tower of London Tickets (Great deal on the family plan) today!
Give our best wishes to Celestine!
The HOHO buses are a good start to introduce people to the Capital city, its fun and also when you have a bit of jet lag you can rest and do not take a pounding on your feet. I personally recommended after that:-
Walking, everything is very close, and also its so much better to walk up on a surprise, that pub that building etc,
Black cab taxis, there everywhere and cheap, and safe, quick A to B.
Tube and Bus.
Re purchase of booze, this may have been posted before, but its worth underlining the issue again.
We have strict Sunday trading laws and our cruise starts on a Sunday.
Booze is cheap, on sale to anyone who can prove they are over 18, so if you look young have ID. The Supermarkets are the best place to purchase.
Monday to Saturday most supermarkets have long hours but on Sundays limited to a maximum of six hours only, (small shops can open longer).
So on a Sunday a big supermarket such as Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA (Wallmart), will open ethier:- 10am>4pm, or 11am>5pm, some shops in Oxford St are 12 noon>6pm. So buy before Sunday.
In Dover the closest supermarket to the port is SUMMERFIELD, not one of our biggest but a good brand, it will have limit hours on Sunday. There is a Costcutter but they can be expensive, not like the name.
Thanks to both you and Celestine for setting up the Ballyhoo Bus! It's greatly appreciated and will be a lot of fun!
Robert, you're pretty special!
Whilst I do not need the bus, it is nearly the same distance to the port as to London for me, and actually quicker and easier to drive to, I would like to Empathise to everyone, what a logistical, nightmare it is to organise a bus pick up like this. Paul and Celestine should be given considerable appreciate for the efforts to organise this and at a very good value for money price. Driving in London and pick ups has issues, from congestion charge to where you can park.
So can I say, everyone should say a massive thank you for them for this very helpful contribution to everyone on this cruise, and also respect any times you are given, as I know from previous cruises, the one or two being late has a considerable knock on effect. I think it was the Panama 2008 buses that went AWOL, or were delayed, didn't they have to drop the booze pick up???
A belated happy anniversary, welcome and great news about the lasik
look what followed Kara home the other day -
he is huge - not sure where he will end up 'living'
spent some time going through some of Kara's clothes - found a few things that might get packed
hope everyone has a great weekend
