7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Ah but think of the nice Fathers day gifts you will get next weekend (just before the cruise), that show you they respect you so so much and appreciate your forthcoming total generosity (Credit card);on the cruise.

My fathers day cards, already written have their wish lists for the cruise inside to cut out the middle man.

When you wish upon a star,
You know you can push your Dad, so so far,
It doesnt matter how big you are,
As long as Dad has a big credit card,
You dreams, remember the arcade card,
Will,
Remember that dress, Ipod, I touch, soft plush toy,
Come,
Tru-ooooooooooooooooooooooooh-e.

Nice song Andrew :thumbsup2:

I expect nothing & am never dissapointed!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::sad1:

These Holidays: Mothers Day , Birthday's, Anniversary's, Not too mention Christmas or Hanuka are strictly geared to the DW's & children if I am lucky I get some underwear & socks!:lmao::grouphug:

That is why I go on lots of vacations one of the few things I enjoy besides convertables!:thumbsup2:car:

I have lots of stocks, lots of underwear, but no convertibles so far!!

Know what you mean on *event* days nothing too surprising.

Well you are one up on me I never get stocks :sad2: No bonds or Precious metal either!;):lmao:

I am sure you are not fuddy-duddies, enjoy life to its full, I was told you are as young as a woman you feel, so feel a young one!!! ;):confused3

Hawaii, looks nice in all the photos, and I think we went to the wrong island, so as you say Maui and Kauai etc.

Its hard for us Hawaii is 11 hours off UK time. Honolulu, was a concrete jungle as I recall it and even the Elvis and George Micheal shows couldn't make it better.
so how young of a woman do you actually feel? ;) :lmao: :rolleyes1

I was going to post something very Non PC but for a change thought better of it!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Spend some time on Maui and Kauai. We don't care for Waikiki. But the other islands are paradise ! We went tubing in Kauai...so much fun for a couple of "fuddy-duddies":rolleyes1

I have a time-share on Maui and DVC points, so I get over to Maui quite a bit. My sister has stayed at a resort on the north shore of Oahu which she says is sooooo much nicer than Honolulu. (This is the area the new DVC resort will be in - Ko'olina)

Any idea which pier the Magic will dock in Copenhagen?

Just read the article ! Sign us up !!! I will be watching this very close. Plan to book 1st opportunity.... We LOVE Hawaii !!!
Me too:thumbsup2
My parents took me when I was around 8, then I went for my honeymoon, now I need to go back:woohoo:

Our door will be decorated along with our FE - the position of our cabin means unless you 'live' in one of those cabins there is no need to be there, so hopefully things will not go walking!

Celestine
Mine will have our info on the backs so hopefully we'll be able to find them if they travel. Most are personalized with our names-so doubt the kids will want them. Have yet to lose any, but I've heard it happens:confused3

I liked certain places on Oahu alot. Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural Center were my favorites. But really liked Maui much better overall. Need to go back for Kaui and the Big Island.

umm, no, not yet.
Just when I thought I was close to done planning:upsidedow
I did check and the Magic is scheduled for Frihamnen pier in Stockhom. I can't call DCL directly as I booked through Dreams Unlimited, but I know someone on one of the other sailings did contact them and got the list of scheduled piers.
Anyone here have that info?

No truth in the empty cabins bit, the current cruise just sailed is reported to be about two thirds full, we have some rooms availability, nothing above Cat 5 at all, all lower some Cat 12s, but prices are still all very high, even Cat 12, which implies they are happy, now we could see some last minute bookings or panic on DCL, but i think the first Baltic will be an advert and will be so good, many will try to book ours last minute. We shall see.

This is one of many misleading posts I have seen, there are a few who *talk down* any European cruises, not sure why, but are anti DCL coming to Europe so say its not selling well but if so why does DCL keep coming back? The ATM one is another, and also Disembarkation times, with people posting from one cruise experience that they feel DCL has an issue, but having been on many cruiselines DCL disembarks the very very best.

Andrew I know there are a few posters on the main boards that get very angry with DCL for taking the only ship that sails 7 day caribbean cruises to a port that they don't want to go or can't afford to go to. Then they get angry at the people that book these cruises because they figure that it is partly our fault for encouraging DCL to make these itineraries.
These folks are in the minority, but they can get very loud with their complaints. I would not take it personally:confused3

I can understand their disappointment, but have a hard time understanding their anger.

As for the atm posts-I think people just worry that they will find themselves in a foreign country with no access to their funds. It is a scary thought and one that I intend to discuss with my bank before I leave. Again I don't think it is complaining about Europe per se-just people scared and looking for reassurance and guidance.
As you had said before, when the folks from the earlier cruises report back on things like atm and credit card experiences and disembarking and such we will get the info we need to calm the nerves.

We love Hawaii too! We did the tubing in the irrigation ditches as well:goodvibes That was one cold flume ride. I think I was blue when I got out :rotfl2:. We also did the zipling. I love it, but DH was not thrilled that you could see all the way down into the valley your were zipping over :lmao: That's when I realized he didn't like heights too much :rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl2::laughing: I think we'll wait until tje DVC is finished on Oahu and try it out rather than the cruise. We also have another time share that we've used on Kauai and would like to try out on Maui or Hawaii.

We are decorating our door as well. Finished a couple of the magnets the other day. Did some customizing on one today that I got from the magnet thread. Too bad Millipie is taking the summer off to move :guilty::sad2:

:wave2:Good Morning All :wave2:

'Morning all

A very chatty bunch yesterday.
Arrived safely in HOT FL yesterday afternoon, an uneventful flight.
Had visitors last night, DIS'ers we were supposed to cruise with back in '04 and we had to cancel, but we've kept in contact all these years. They will be staying with us next month before their Wonder cruise.

Better get DD up and moving so we can go to Epcot before the rain/storm shows up later today - nothing unusual for the forecast for the rest of the week.

Oh go on post what is the worst that can happen? Post on facebook, cruise crtic, or Passporter??? Therei s life outside!!!!

Anyway, I would clarify the age range of feeling a lady was *adult* in my mind and a joke, :goodvibes And it goes two ways a lady (Is it a Cougar?) is as old as the Adult Man she feels!!!!

It was an observation on some posts and wasn't personally upset, just putting an answer to a question that there are a few who talk down Europe cruises at any point they can,-as you post, they in the minority, but they can get very loud with their complaints, they do quite often get a counter rebuttal back.

But the original question was, someone had posted our cruise was empty, that isn't correct and its rather full. But the current Baltic one - they report two thirds full at circa 2,000 guests.

We tend not to get figures on Carribean and Bahams cruises but they to can sail at the same level in the economic climate.

Don't forget the tornado warnings! :scared1: :rolleyes1

My DH is faxing in my DD permission slip today so hopefully we will get her on the Kids thread soon. She is excited to talk to some kids before we get on the boat. This is their 2nd cruise, but they were 4 and 5 the first time so they don't remember everything.
