6th birthday in MK and no reservations

You could have birthday t-shirts made in advance and have her open them on her birthday.
Let the CM at the resort you are staying know it's her birthday too.
I thought I read that you could have a character place a phone call to your room and wish her a happy birthday.
just like every one else said, keep checking for the ADR.
Also, have you tried BBB in DTD? We walked in there one year and got my daughter in there when there was no reservations available.
If you have a t-shirt, button and Mickey Birthday Ears every where you go in Disney, they will wish her a happy birthday.
No matter what you decide, she will have one of the best birthdays of her life.

there's not ONE restaurant open to book an adr?? We went in June with an 8 crowd rating and there was plenty available. Try Whispering Canyon. Take the boat from MK....

Here's a couple things....
1) Have you called 407-WDW-DINE? Sometimes they can find a reservation that is not showing up on line

2) Are you staying at a Disney hotel? If so, call and make sure they know a b-day is being celebrated. They will bring a few balloons and a card signed by your daughter's favorite character (this is free). They can also have Goofy call the room and wish her a happy birthday. This can also be done at any Guest Relations in the parks.

3) The cakes are pretty expensive. Mention that it's your daughter's bday where ever you eat. QA cupcake or some special treat will usually appear!

4) If you can't get into BBB, you can always buy a cute Tiara from Michael's (wedding section w/ 40% off coupon). They are much nicer than the cheapy plastic ones. Get some glitter hair spray from Party City and make her hair all cute. (I personally hate how at BBB they pull all the little girls hair back so tight in that bun!) You can also try the Barbershop on Main Street. They have glitter gel and it might be easier to get in there!

5) You can also go to one of the kiosks and get her face painted with a butterfly or whatever she thinks is really fun. (My daughter loved this at that age.) The makeup really stays on good too!

6) She's 6! She'll probably be happy to just be at MK! Little kids don't always like sit-down dinners/lunches anyway...they take too long and they don't want to miss out on any fun!

My friend who is a local just took her daughter to MK for her birthday. They have APs. My friend had made a ressie at 1900 Park Fair. Her daughter requested to eat at Casey's for her birthday so my friend canceled the ressie. Maybe you do a QS place she really likes or a special birthday treat. Still I would keep checking if she wants a sit down meal.

My trick is checking 24-72 hours in advance for reservations, I have had more luck with that vs checking daily. Same with FP+ I have been lucky the night before. If she wants to do Princess dining, I have seen 1900 and Akershus pop up 24-48 hours and day of. 1900 Park Fare is another good one. Keep checking!

thank you everyone so much! I'm happy to report that I got CRT reservation on her birthday! I'm a very happy mom now! Now I need to get that coveted BBB appointment and my life will be complete.

because MK has only 5 TS restaurants (6 at dinner) they're pretty fast booking up for reservations. But people cancel, so you can keep checking, or you can pay a fee to a service that will check for you. If you want to have a sit down meal booked, try for something outside the park in one of the adjacent hotels.
