So I totally messed up, I planned our 3 day trip to WDW for my dayghter's birthday in mid October but didnt make dinning reservations. And of course nothing is available now. What can I do make her birthday special? I was thinking Bibbity Bobbity boutique, but they are booked too.

We will spend 2 days in MK, second day is when she'll be turning 6. Any ideas?

Going to WDW makes the birthday special already. :) Get her a birthday button. Keep checking online, adrs open up. Have you checked for resort restaurants? If a restaurant doesn't work out you can order a birthday cake and get it delivered to your room although my son would be just as happy with a cupcake from any of the bakery locations.

Birthday Mickey Ears? (My DD wore them on a birthday spent in MK and got so many well wishes. ) A Pirates and Fireworks cruise or tour geared towards kids? A gift basket sent to the room? A special cake?

I'd keep checking on the dining reservations. *Something* will open up on her special day. :shamrock:pixiedust:

Well, the great thing about WDW is that the parks are so much fun that it really doesn't matter what you eat. Sure there are some neat (and delicious) table service options, but nothing that's going to impress a 6 year old as much as just being at Disney World. Don't fret!!

For my daughter's B-day this year, we started off by heading right to meet Mickey at Town Square. We were the first family in line and mentioned to the CM that it was her B-day. She then mentioned it to Mickey, who led the whole room in a few verses of Happy Birthday. Next, we walked over to City Hall and grabbed a B-day button (they also handed everyone else "I'm Celebrating" buttons). She was greeted by name and told Happy Birthday by CMs and random people all throughout the day.

All of this is pretty commonly known around here, but it was super-special for her.

There are lots of good kid-friendly QS restaurants if you're having trouble getting in one of your TS favorites. Also, keep trying and something may open up closer to your arrival date.

- get a Bday button
- schedule a M&G with a favorite character
- smile, you're in WDW! :-)

No worries! keeping checking ADR's cancelations will happen but be diligent take time everyday to look for that special restaurant. Perhaps 1900 PF if you were trying to get into CRT?
Also go to Walmart and get a few Disney themed Bday cards and sign them form characters maybe you wouldn't get to see then leave them in the room so she finds them later in the day. Let her pick a couple must do todo's on her bday so she feels like she's planning her special day.

My daughters doing the mermaid package of pirate's league, you could still get a spot there probably. Also it would be a stop out of the park, but you could try Ivy Trellis salon at the Grand Floridian, they do a princess package (cheaper than BBB) there and then try to do afternoon tea. Also could try Cape May at Beach Club for a character breakfast ( i found an opening a couple weeks ago). Or keep trying, especially 45 days out when people finalize and cancel things.

We went to Beaches and Cream at the Beach and Yacht Club for Mickey's Kitchen Sink Sundae. You can do that with out a reservation. We had fun sitting outside enjoying our ice cream. They also have a really cute Frozen Birthday Sundae there as well...that's what our birthday girl got.

Yes definitely keep checking for ADRs especially in the week before your trip. Because of the one day cancellation fee a lot of ADRs open on short notice you just have to check frequently to catch them. Our last trip I really wanted to go to BOG so kept checking and got one a few days before our trip.

There's also a website or app I think it's called disney dining buddy. For a fee ($8 I think) they'll check for you and send you a text when an ADR opens up.

Keep checking....it seems like a lot of people make multiple ADRs and cancel them when the date gets closer. There's a pretty good chance that you'll be able to find SOMETHING on her birthday as it gets closer.

Disney Dining Scout--will look for ADRs for you and send you a text and email when they are available. You do have to be super quick when the alert comes, I've missed out twice, once was a computer/website issue, the other was I was working and just looked at my phone too late.

So many ways to feel special in WDW on your bday, I'm betting with or without a special ADR it will be magical!

Just wear the Birthday button. All the wonderful Cast Members and guests will help in making her birthday special. My daughter got numerous birthday wishes from them and ...many birthday kisses from the Princesses. :lovestruc

I took my DD for her Birthday no adr's but we did have BBB appointment and we were lucky enough to get a Walk in spot at Crystal Palace, but the BIrthday button gave her Days of "special treatment"

I agree with everyone above,

1). C'mon, you're at Disney World. That's a pretty special birthday treat,
2). The birthday button (which I think you can also pick up at the front desk of your resort if you are staying on property) will give her lots of attention.

But I am wondering, are you being particular about the meal or venue for your ADR? We have to go during the busy season (which you are not) and were able to get several ADRs just 40 days out on our recent, hastily-planned trip. Are you looking for something specific?

Have you looked for ADRs at hotels near MK, ones on the monorail or possibly Wilderness Lodge? Sometimes those have more availability, especially at lunch. Some of them even have character meals. You might try for breakfast too. Good luck.

OP, you can always check the dining board for the October cancellations thread and see if you can coordinate with someone that is going to cancel their reservations.

ADRs or not, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. There's always quick service meals.

Don't sweat the ADRs. We just went last week and did 2 sit-downs - Ohana for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for dinner. I had more, but my kids asked me to cancel them!! They would rather spend their time doing other things.

They also have a really cute Frozen Birthday Sundae there as well.
