6nts AKL Sav. view 8/21-27 for $1255?

I just booked at this rate (no code or pin). Does this sound like a good deal? If a better deal comes along, can you just switch or apply the new rate? Finally, we have stayed at the WL and POLY and loved the monorail and boat. Did anyone find taking the bus (not so much the service) disappointing? Does it go directly to a destination or does it make stops at other resorts?

The resort does not share a bus, and there is only one bus stop.

that is a savings of 668 or over 110 per night. There is most definitely some kind of code being used.. (I'm assuming you meant standard savannah view in value season - 285*6=1710+tax=1923.75, savings are more elsewise). You can apply new codes. There won't be much better codes you'll just have to crunch numbers when/if they come out.

We were AKL December 12-17 and a little worried about the bus as we stayed at the Poly earlier in the year and LOVED being on the Monorail. We were taking the DIL's and thought they would enjoy AKL, so we decied to give it a try. We LOVED it! The resort was fabulous and had no issues with the buses. Since you do not share with any other resorts, it seemed fast and efficient.

Yes, it is a standard view. Is the deluxe view significantly better than the standard?

If you booked standard view then it is pretty much just standard rate. (215/ night) Your original post said savannah view, if that is what you got then it is a pretty good deal. AKL rooms are confusing because there are standard and deluxe sizes, AND there are standard, pool and savannah views. Make sure you got the room you really wanted. You'll love AKL no matter what type of room you stay in. It's incredible!

I booked a standard savannah view. I'm not sure that it's worth the extra money though. Any suggestions on what rooms or part of the resort has the best views and is it worth it. Thanks!

Try allears.net and look t the FAQ about AKL. I have stayed all over the WDW grounds and AKL savannah is totally the best unless you need the monorail.
Enjoy,do everything they offer at the lodge! We even stay there if we don't go into the parks!
