and his Name is COLBY.........we were calling the dog HEY YOU for the longest time cause the poor dog didnt' have a name yet. HEY YOU ......get out of the kitchen, HEY YOU .....don't eat the door.......HEY YOU .....get the picture

i always found 2 syllable names work best for dogs...but that's just me.

stand at the back door and yell each name for 5 minutes...which one do you feel more comfortable yelling?

Jack is ok (it was the name of my parents first dog) but there are a lot of them out there (same with Buddy).

I personally like 2 syllable names as well. Our current Beagle is named Murphy. I thought that was so cute and I don't feel like a dork when I yell it.

My golden's name is Travis, he lives with my parents now because he was 7 when I had my 1st child and he could not get used to kids. My neighbor has a golden and his name is Sampson.

We have a golden puppy and his name is TUCKER.

His nickname is Buttercup (he is the color of butter and also after petting him about 3 times, he melts like butter).

Tucker is my DS8's dog and companion to my 14 yo golden mix.

We love Tucker!
