Here in Mexico City, we have a brand new Best Buy that just opened. In fact it claims to be the second largest Best Buy in the World (apparently there's one in China that's bigger). It is a huge store (2 stories), but I wouldn't say that it has more stuff then most Best Buys in the states do, it's just laid out differently so that it's bigger. It is a beautiful store though, carpeting everywhere, nice display areas, and so on.
Anyway, as you walk in, one of the first things you see is a 102" TV that is selling for 800,000 pesos. With the current exchange rate, that's about 65 thousand dollars. If the exchange rate should drop back down to where it usually is (closer to 10 to 1), then that TV will be selling for 80 thousand dollars.
Now, I like watching TV as much as the next person, and having a TV that size would be quite the thing - but 65 - 80 thousand dollars for a TV????
I could almost buy my house for that much money.
Just out of curiosity, has anyone else seen a TV that size, and if so, about how much was it selling for. Electronics are a lot more expensive here in Mexico than they are in the states, so I was just wondering how much Best Buy has raised the price on this beauty.
