60th Anniversary Foods

Saw this on the Disney food blog:


Chili Cheese Fries in a 60th Anniversary Mine Train. It said it was at Hungry Bear -- is it still there?

And are there any other 60th Anniversary foods?

I honestly think this isn't so much a 60th Anniversary food, as it is an indication that they're trying to clear out the souvenir containers that say "60th Anniversary" on them.

In terms of actual food items created for the the 60th Anniversary, there is a cupcake at the Jolly Holiday Bakery (and probably elsewhere), along with all of the treats available at the candy shops (e.g., caramel apples, cake pops, rice crispie treats, etc.). There is also a specialty chocolate cake (I saw it at the Plaza Inn, French Market, and a few other CS locations). There were a few alcoholic drinks as well.

As far as i know the mine cart started life out as a popcorn bucket which is what it was used for when i got mine. But those fries do look good though.

Yup, the Mine Cart first debuted as a popcorn bucket (that's how I got mine)! They've done this in the past too...I recall seeing the Jack Skellington Coffin being offered as part of meal deal (or as popcorn bucket). The Darth Vader helmet bucket was available with cotton candy after a while. So I'm not surprised to see them offering the Mine Train as part of meal deal...especially if they're hoping to clear out the supply by Labor Day.

Ha, I had no idea! But you gotta admit it's an enterprising use of the souvenirs!

Yeah, I think it's a good option! They used to also have a Han Solo in Carbonite Meal Deal at the Galactic Grill (if you're collecting popcorn/souvenir buckets).
