DD has to dress in the 60's style tonight for a dance and we need some tips for hair styles. I know that in the early 70's we wore our hair straight as a board and maybe pulled a small bit back. Did they do that in the late 60's too? She is wearing hip hugger jeans and a peasant shirt and maybe some "love beads" too.

Long, straight and parted in the middle.

OMG, that's how my hair is now! At least now I have bangs. :)

I was in HS in the late 60's and I used to IRON my hair! Parted down the middle and wear a scarf tied around the forehead like an Indian headband.

Or take a some strands of hair from each side of the head and bring to the back of the head and do a braid down the back on top of the rest of the straight hair.

Or do a flower headband. Flower Power was big!

Seems we also either wore NO eye makeup or LOTS OF HEAVY eye makeup! Kind of like the "Twiggy" look.

Peace & Love!

I ironed my hair also:confused: Another style would be Afro.

Thanks guys.... she left with board straight hair, bell bottom jeans etc. I just needed some assurance that I was on the right track.
