Hey, Michelle. Congratulations on getting to the BBG! I'm going this morning, but I have to tell you, I'm kind of dreading it now. I don't want to sit through the SPIEL! Guess it's the price we've gotta pay for fitness. I'm also disappointed that they didn't walk you around and "train" you on the equipment, but if they have the instructions on them, I guess it's good enough. I'm sure that the Bally's people get so many NBC people in who just want the free membership that they really don't want to spend TOO much time
with them, and I have to admit , I'm one of those people. I'm hoping to get a feel for this strength training stuff and if I like it, maybe I'll join Curves closer to home.
Michelle, I've gotten all caught up on your journal! You're doing GREAT! You lost all 3.5 pounds of extra holiday weight and you didn't waste any time doing it! You've had your 6 month WISH anniversary - awesome! You're now a Bally's Girl - WOO HOO!
You are amazing, Michelle! I hope you have a fabulous day today!
Good for you speaking up. No one should be treated like that by a trainer. If they ask, DEFINATELY explain why you won't be joining. I'm glad you are feeling more comfortable there.
My gym is at my work so I know some people, some well, some just from seeing in the halls. There is a spectrum of "privacy" running from those who take there clothes into the toilet stalls to dress and those who walk around buck nakey. At times I've had the buck nakey's TALK to me. Imagine trying to figure out where to look while someone is standing there stark naked talking up a storm!!!! Geesh.
Personally, I'm a down to the under garments and into the shower kinda gal
I'm glad you found a machine that helps your back. Look for every benefit you can to keep you motivated. Have you noticed you sleep better, feel more relaxed when sitting, etc? The perks are endless
That was too funny! It reminded me of the field trip my DH chaperoned last week. It was a 5th grade trip to the community college pool to teach Red Cross water safety. While they were having lunch, the pool was opened to the community. After lunch...he had locker room duty and the people who were using the pool had to leave...one man gets his shower and decides to walk around the locker room naked in front of 60+ 5th grade boys! You would think he would use some common sense!
Hope you can start getting some better sleep. I notice that there are nights that I'm actually still wired from working out...where I think that I would have a sound sleep. But I know you have fibromyalagia...so I probably don't know what I'm talking about
