$6000 per pitch

So Rocket Clemens re-re-re came out of retirement today and signed for a mere $22 million for the rest of the year. Figuring he gets about 20 starts (barring injury) and about 100 pitches a game, that works out to be about $6000 per pitch. Geesh....I am in the WRONG busines!!

Since he will not officially join the team until around June 20 (he will pitch in the minors until then) his salary will be prorated and amount to around $12.5 million for the remainder of the season.

I hope he is able to make ends meet at this reduced salary.
