60 days and we're ON OUR WAY!!!

Just had to post, today is our 60 day mark!! This trip is EXTRA special, as it's my DP's 1st time EVER!! I'm planning some very romantic things...I was also able to be ALL the ressies I had on my wish list. Every day is ONE day closer!!

Yes, so I have a plan. We hit the parks at opening...stay till lunch, and break everday till 4ish. We can go back to our resort, hit the pool, have a few drinks and maybe get a nap in. I figure, if we head back around 4:30, it won't be so bad we can't breathe. Then, we can stay till close. I've been researching this... I'll let everyone know how it all turns out. Aug was the ONLY time this year we could go. Not our 1st, choice. Next year, we're going in Oct!

Do you have a cell phone that gets the internet?

If so you may want to plug in one of the local weather stations to keep an eye on storms.

It can still be quite hot at 4-5. Plus that's when the afternoon showers tend to hit. I'd suggest staying in the park until about 1 or 2 then go back to the resort until about 5. Hope you guys have a wonderful time!!

Wow! I missed that it's your DP's FIRST visit!!! How cool is THAT?! You are going to have such a wonderful time. WLV are great too.

Yep. It'll be hot in the afternoon with the greatest threat of thunderstorms then. One other option is to have a lingering lunch at a full service restaurant during those afternoon hours. :yes:

You could visit another resort, have a drink, have lunch, have a drink...

Recognizing that you'll use the mornings and evenings for park touring is the best bet, and you've got that down pat!

Remember to bring bug repellent. We were in EPCOT last weekend and the mosquitoes and biting gnats are starting to make themselves felt. All the rain has caused loads of standing water and that just feeds into the problem.

We like the Off! wipes. Easy to carry and you can use it on your clothing instead of your skin.

Let me know how it works. If my tests come back positive, I am going to be a little iffy about EXTRA chemicals on my skin... I like the idea of the OFF sheets on your clothes too!

All very good tips. Yes, its' her first time, so I have many special things planned. We are going to other resorts for lunch, that was in my itinerary. The bug thing, I hadn't thought of. Yes, we were thinking about the bug fan thing as well.

We'll take lots of pics and of course, I'll post in my trip report!
