60 Day Window for non-Disney hotels, for example DS hotels

The 60 day FP and EMH perks are also being offered at Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf through 2020. I don’t know whether these are on Disney land. They aren’t in the Disney Springs area. I thought they were considered off site, but I could be wrong.

I went back and did a little research. It looks like land that Bonnet Creek and the Astoria sit on, Bonnet Creek Resort area, is actually not owned by Disney.

THanks! I wasn't sure about those since they aren't listed on the WDW website and I knew that the Wyndham Bonnet Creek that sits on the same plot does NOT have privileges. Now that they're building the new hotel complex in Flamingo Crossing (which I think is targeted to DCP and their families) it'll be interesting to see if they extend the privileges to those hotels given the connection to DCP.

Disney is not taking anything away. Onsite guests can still book FPs 60 days in advance.

The 60 day access for select Disney Springs resorts started sometime in 2018, so it’s not like this was a terribly recent change...
I know. I feel like they are diluting the value of staying onsite by giving it to non-Disney branded hotels.

How did you pick POFQ?
We have usually stayed at POR so that my younger son can sleep on the fold down/trundle. We decided to try a different “moderate” this time. When my neighbor moved in last year, I found out he was overseeing the Drury takeover of the DS BW so I have been slowly trying to get some info on whether it would make sense to stay there vs a Disney hotel.

They took away the advantage of getting FP+ earlier than non Disney hotels. That is what I meant.

I just looked at the Best Western (soon to be Drury). Much, much cheaper than the rates quoted me at a Moderate resort. Most expensive rate I found online was $150 with a $15 resort fee/day.

Is Bus service worse for the DS hotels? I just can't figure it out. I know I can't buy the Dining Plan and I don't think you can get Magic Bands. Big Whoop right?

My point in all of this is that I think Disney needs to change up the FP+ window for the Disney Springs resorts. I'm paying a premium to stay on-site and the benefit I get is that I have to fight a bunch of people staying in Disney Springs at almost half the daily rate for FP+ at the 60-day window. Grrrr

If you are interested in a less expensive venue with 60 day FP access and good bus service then check out the Dolphin and Swan.
