6 Year Old Trapped in a Balloon. Boy Found Alive - Hiding at Home!

They actually said that since the basket was not breached--that it is possible he was never in it--but sheriff's office says it is all conjecture at this point.

But they have been on active search for him from the start in the neighborhood.

If the boy was in it and fell out then this is a crime investigation. And even with no boy, the whole situation with all the Law Enforcement involved needs to be investigated.

Guy on the news also is wondering aobut the crime scene tape.

I'm guessing to keep out onlookers--seems lots of vehicles parked on the other side of the crime scene tape.

Its been a 2 1/2 hour ordeal. I would think he'd come out of hiding by now or heard crying somewhere if he was hiding.

I think maybe he did start to go up and maybe got scared and jumped out before he got to high. Maybe he is not far from home. Hopefully safe and sound and not hurt.

My guess is the boy was never in the balloon. Keeping hope on that because the alternative is too horrible to think about.

well they have to secure the area somehow in case it does become a criminal investigation. I can think of several crimes that MAY have been committed.

Police have crime scene tape, might as well use that. The balloon IS evidence. Evidence to what is still unclear.

Sheriff's office is thinking--they say they have been looking from him on the ground (including under his bed) since the incident was reported. (just in case he never was in the balloon.)

I thought the older brother witnessed him getting into the balloon, untying it and taking off.

So, either the older brother is lying or the little boy fell out. How old is the older brother?

I hope they find him alive. But I hope they find him in any event so the family can have closure.

It's been 2 hours since this thing took off, if he was at home, safe you'd think they would have found him long before the balloon landed. Did anyone report how far this balloon traveled in the those 2 hours?

9news has a viewer submitted photo from Ft. Collins that appears to show nothing under the balloon. It appears to have been taken shortly after "take-off".

I just heard the newcasters say that the police did a preliminary search of the home and he was not found. This doesn't mean they aren't going to continue to look at the home but that's what they said on the news.

I saw a blurb about this on the news. That poor little boy. There is speculation that he may have jumped or fallen out of the craft. I hope it was early and that he has a chance of living.
