6 year old & her doll

MY DD HAS HAD A DOLL "MARGARET" SINCE SHE WAS 2WEEKS OLD. SHE IS NOW 9 AND STILL SLEEPS WITH IT. HER FIRST DISNEY TRIP WAS WHEN SHE WAS 2 AND "MARGARET" CAME ALONG. WE KEPT PRETTY GOOD TABS ON HER UNTIL WE LOST HER AT UNIVERSAL BUT SOON FOUND HER. SHE IS A SIMPLE PUFFALUMPS DOLL BUT MEANS THE WORLD TO MY DD. I SAY TAKE HER!!!!! WE KID THAT "MARGARET" IS ON HER 4TH TRIP TO DISNEY!princess:

My DS also has a very precious "bunny" that has come to WDW with us . Bunny did go into the parks with us, but I was frantic and doing "bunny patrol" all day. Very stressful.

Later, Bunny was left behind at the Rainforest Cafe. We were extremely worried and upset. Luckily, some friends volunteered to go back to the cafe and search. We were relieved when bunny was found in good condition (well, as good as a tattered bunny can be, that is).

Anyway, I just don't think it's worth the chance of losing a precious lovey. Something like that is irreplacable. Now when bunny comes, he remains in our condo. Or, if he's feeling very adventurous, he can ride in our car to the parking lot. But then he must stay in the car and wait for DS to return. DS understands that bunny could get lost, and none of us want that.

I wish you luck with your decision.

I have a funny but helpful story. My DD and I live in a 2 family house and the house alarm was going off upstairs while nobody was home. To be on the safe side, I called 911 in case there was a fire. (There turned out to be no fire btw, just a short in our alarm system.) My daughter was just under 3 at the time. When the fire chief saw my daughter with her blanket, aka Bubba, he told her about the time when he was a little boy and lost his bubba. He then went on to warn her never to take her bubba outside or it may get lost. She still talks about the firefighter and his warning has stuck with her ever since.

I have a daughter that has a beloved Snoopy. She was never attached to anything until at age 5 Grammy gave her that Snoopy. I think because Grammy was diagnosed with cancer and almost died right after she gave Maria that doll is what did it. Anyway, I am also attached to the doll/Snoopy because of the timing of when it was given to her and have always told my daughter she can't take it on trips because we don't want to lose it. So Snoopy has stayed with Grammy before (she's much better now!) or her best friend has also babysat Snoopy. It's kind of fun for her to figure out who will be entrusted to keep Snoopy when we travel and I let her be the one to decide because it's her Snoopy and she knows best! She packs his little bag and off we go!
