Heading to Disney in September for 6 nights / 7 days. That gives us 6 TS from the meal plan. In the past we would only use our TS for dinner so it all worked out since we fly out the last day, but this time we decided to eat lunch at a TS in Epcot - so we will have to pay OOP for one meal.

Here are the ADRs we have so far - can someone who knows Disney really well scan through and let us know which is likely to be the cheapest meal for 2 adults and a 2 year old? Thanks.

Day 1 Lunch - Le Cellier Steakhouse, Dinner - Coral Reef or Chefs De France (Haven't decided yet)
Day 2 Dinner - Kona Cafe
Day 3 Dinner - Boma
Day 4 Dinner - The Wave
Day 5 Dinner - 'OHana
Day 6 Dinner - Kouzzina
Day 7 none

Also - any thoughts on Coral Reef or Chefs that first night there? I figure we will have a big meal at lunch at Le Cellier and my kid would love the aquarium so was leaning Coral Reef..but have heard the food there is hit or miss and chefs may be better.

Depending on where you are eating lunch at, I would most likely pay for that meal OOP and use the credit for the last dinner.

Lunch and breakfast meals are always cheaper than dinners.

Lunch is generally less expensive. I would check the menus on allears and see what you are most likely to eat and the cost.

I would pay out of pocket for Kona and get a cheaper meal and no dessert. Just my own opinion. I would think that Kona would be the least expensive but I am not sure.

Typically lunch is less expensive than dinner, but if you both order the filet mignon at Le Cellier for lunch it can get pricey. There are menus on allears and on the DisneyWorld sites so you can figure out what you think you'll be ordering and see which restaurant will be the least expensive.

It really does depend on what your ordering. Lunch at Le Cellier can be quite inexpensive if you want soup and breadsticks but expensive if you want the mushroom filet. Kona could be less expensive as even there most expensive dinner is only around 22.00 but if you two yr old won't want to share what your eating and you have to order him/her a meal then you won't save there. If your wanting to budget and know what your spending Boma might be your best bet. It's less expensive that Ohana (your other fixed price meal) and includes dessert in the price, also you can get something you know your two year old will eat without an extra cost and you'll know ahead of time what your going to spend.

My initial reaction would be to use your Day 7 lunch at Epcot as your OOP meal. There are so many choices there and many of them might not be as expensive as a Le Cellier lunch. You may not want to do a CS for that last lunch, but Sunshine Seasons and the Tangeriene Cafe have some excellent choices and are a very good value.

If it were me, I would just do a QS on that first night. You will be full from lunch. The QS in the World are all really good.

On day 7, use up all your unused snack credits for a yummy breakfast at Main St. Bakery and then pay OOP for another QS.

Why do you have to do another TS? Just because you use one for lunch, doesn't mean you have to do another one somewhere else.

I wouldn't wait to book Le Cellier - it's crazy to get an ADR there. I'd pay OOP for the lunch. Enjoy!
