6 people in one bedroom?

I am an owner, but a friend of mine wants to rent points for a family vacation. They have a family of 6 with the youngest being 3. Does anyone know if one of you can book a one bedrooms that sleeps 5 (BLT, OKW), for 6 and let them know that the 3 yr old will be sleeping in the King bed with his parents? They don't want to break any rules, that is why I am asking for them.

Nope.
It would of worked last year (5+ an infant under 3) but now a 2 BR or 2 studios would be needed.

A family suite would be a better option if a 2 BR is too much.

go on the on-line member booking site and pick a DVC resort and put in # of adults and # of children with ages. That will tell you if you can book it or not.

The rules would allow 5 people + a child under 3 in a 1 bedroom.

It's not bending the rules if one register's 5 but has 6, it's breaking them and simply being dishonest. I say you tell them 6 and if they allow it great, if not one will have to decide to pay more (2 BR) or make other arrangements.

Wow shame on Disney to not allow 6 in a 1 bedroom if the family wants to squeeze in. The same goes for the meal plan. Why does everyone in a party have to get the same one? I don't eat half as much as my husband and should be entitled to choose which is best. I love Disney but they certainly don't miss a beat when it comes to making money.

We ask that DVC Occupancy discussions will be limited to the DVC Occupancy Thread.

Currently DVC allows the following occupancy:

Studio 4*
1 Bdrm 5*+
2 Bdrm 9*+
Grand Villa 12*

*plus a child under the age of 3 in a Pak-n-Play
+Some DVC resorts have a single sleeper chair for person 5/9 respectively. For others you will need to provide your own air mattress, sleeping bag, or other arrangements.
