6 month old baby do we count her??

We will be a large group making reservations first week of january, one is a small 6 month old baby do we count her in or not??

every person needs to be counted due to fire code.
she won't be put on the bill but she must be accounted for in the dining reservation.

Yes. We were told the same thing in January by Disney with our 1 year old.

Yes every single body needs to be counted. Doesn't matter if they are an infant in someones arms or a kid in a stroller everyone counts for fire code so needs to be on the reservation.

This is actually wrong, especially during the holidays. Every living person counts towards fire code, and having a lap child or a high chair is not always possible for flow. A restaurant will try to accommodate, but if they cannot, the choice will be someone leaving with the child, or everyone leaving and being charged no-show.

If a restaurant is fully booked and every table shows up with an extra, that strains kitchen capacity and fire code.

auroraborealis and previous posters are correct that everybody needs to be included to guarantee that everyone in your party is seated. While castmembers will do their best to seat extra people there are times when it might not be possible. We were at a DW restaurant that was running far behind schedule so they were turning away walk ups, latecomers and any extra guests not on the reservation.

Sounds like a glitch, but in most cases it won't matter. When you check in at the restaurant just let the podium castmembers know that you are a party of 3 adults and a 2 year old.

You will want to correct the age error if you are booking a pre-paid meal such as CRT or one of the dinner shows since you will be paying in advance for everyone listed as an adult or child 3 years or older.

I do wish people would stop posting this. It is not true, and it could place that family in an uncomfortable position when they are given a choice: one stays out with the baby, and the rest dine, or they all walk away and pay the No show fee.

Yes, it is the number of peole, ot the number of people who eat that count. This is true in all aspects of DIsney numbers when dining.
