6 kids under the age of 6 take on WDW, will Santa still visit when we get home?

We only did the DVC tour b/c they promised us magic fastpasses that work on any ride in any park - 3 each! That made it worth giving up the hour or so... and then we bought in anyway! That's why we were able to do the Disney cruise for our honeymoon, and why we're managing 3 trips to WDW this year.

(and, p.s.... we made an offer on a house today! now it'll be a stressful waiting game to see if it's accepted... )

It must be really hard for the kiddos to see the stage. Hmm, you would think they would make Mickey & the gang bigger and easier to see.

I honestly don't even want to take the DVC tour because I think it will make sad. :guilty:

Great update as usual!! That's too bad about DVC...stupid economy screwing everything up! That is a dream of ours too but not for a loooong while.

By the way, I completely forgot to mention-the shirt you wore to Chef Mickey's, did you get that at Old Navy? I'm almost positive I have the same one. You have such good taste ;)

I love these pictures from magic carpets. We road at night and couldn't see as much. Plus I don't really like heights so tend not to look. :scared:

DVC is always interesting. Someday.....

We saw the Playhouse Disney show when it was Bear and JoJo. Was that Johnny from Johnny and the Sprites? It looked just like him!

I totally relate to the sniff sniff economy-related DVC decision. But it doesn't appear that DVC is going anywhere so we WILL have our turn!! ::yes::

You're right, it will be there when WE'RE ready, right!?:confused3 We just have to be responsible now with this crazy economy we're living in!! We're just fortunate that we can keep going back!:cloud9:

That's what I was afraid of, Michelle! I have a funny feeling if we went, we would have bought, too! ;) We just knew that I didn't need to be sold on it anymore, so why tempt fate! LOL!:rotfl: They did offer us the FP, as well, but with the kids and all, it wasn't worth it for us to mess with our day and dining ressies and all, there is always next time!!!

Wrote on your PTR, but any news on the house bid? Keeping my fingers crossed for you! That's SO exciting!!:thumbsup2

Ya, it's weird, LL! Last year it was MUCH easier to see, oh well, the kids still enjoyed it. I know, I'm with you, it's almost better you don't know what you're missing, right!! LOL!

Yes!! My shirt is from Old Navy....the navy one with the green stipes? It's a cute top and so comfy!! It was perfect for the weather we were having that week. Yo'uve got GREAT taste, too!!

We did get some cool shots from the Magic carpets, I was surprised since we were moving, but just kept snapping away and was pleasantly surprised on how well they came out.

Have you done the tour? I feel like I know so much about it but have only seen the pics from the DVC book to know what it looks like. Todd actually saw a unit in a mall somewhere in Chicago and called me from it last year, it was the AK room. He called me from there and aked him if he was going to bring it home as a souvie from his business trip for me...unfortunately, he didn't.:guilty: Maybe someday.....

You're right, that guy did look like Johnny from Johnny and the sprites in my pictures! I didn't realize that until I went back and looked at them after you mentioned it. No, it wasn't him, but there is a huge resemblance!

Hope you got to enjoy some of the fantastic weekend weather we had here in MA!!:yay:

Okay girls, I'm sorry I'm too tired for an update now....I promise tomorrow!! Stay tuned!!!!!!! Good night!!:lovestruc

I left off with us leaving Playhouse Disney live show and we headed back towards Mickey's Sorcerer's hat to figure out our plan of attack. As we were standing there, we noticed some CM's taping off the area right in front so we inquired about it and found out that HMS parade would be coming through soon. We figured we would ride The Great Movie Ride and then grab some seats afterwards to watch HSM, afteall, my kids knew some of the songs from watching the Disney Channel and Hailey is a big fan. We enjoyed the GMR, however, I remember Zach and Lucas being a bit scared at parts:eek: , which at 4, is understandable, but it was a good ride. We now went and picked out our 'seats' for the show on the street and waited. We gave the kids some snack and enjoyed the CM that was entertaining the crowd before the show. He was funny , telling silly jokes and there was another CM across the street so they were doing some cheering competitions between both groups, it was fun and we were chanting GO WILDCATS, it was cute. The kids enjoyed it.

Here are a few pics while we waited, the kids being cute!:cutie:

Then the HSM kids start picking kids out of the crowd and they come running over to my Ethan and try and pull him up to go and dance with them. But there is NO WAY that Ethan is having ANY part of it!!!:scared1: He was SCARED to death and in a way, I don't blame him but I would have LOVED it if he went!!! So, they grab Zach instead and he was a great sport and went!! GO ZACH!!

We were glad we sat for the show and to have our movie star for the day! It was fun and the music is catchy, too!!:cool1:

At this point, it was time to think about lunch...we headed to Backlot Express for a CS lunch and some down time to plan the rest of our day.....stay tuned!!:flower3:

Okay guys, I'm really hoping to finish this day up later today, however I've got a sick baby on my hands and Todd is going out of town tomorrow for a couple of days, so I've literally got my hands full. Cole has bronchitis and an ear infection, Lucas is coughing now too. We haven't slept through the night in about 5 days so I'm dragging and any free time I have I"m cleaning and doing laundrey from sick babies:laundy: ....hang in there, I promise to update soon!!! And thanks SO much for reading!! I really appreciate it!! Hope everyone is well and I'll talk to you soon!!!!!:goodvibes
Kristen:flower3:

I hope your kiddos start to feel better soon!! Don't worry about us, make sure you rest so you don't get sick too!! :goodvibes

Thanks, LL!!!:goodvibes Just put my feet up to get some things done on the computer while the little ones nap, I'm dragging....wish I could nap, too!!:guilty: Hope to write more later!!! Thanks for understanding!!!

no stress, take care of the kiddos we'll be here when the crew is feeling better. really cool about hsm and being chosen, as a kid i would have never gone up, but now, they should totally pick me. lol

Now it was time for our plan of attack....Adam, Todd & Cole (since he was riding in the baby backpack on Todd's back) were off for the Fastpasses for us while we went to wait in line to see the characters and get some autographs. We were seperated about 15 minutes or so, Tracey, the kids and I made it through most of the line by the time the guys got back. Funny story about the guys going off on their own....since Adam and Tracey would be celebrating their 10 year anniversary this week, they were wearing their pins. Well, Todd & Adam were repeatedly wished a Happy Anniversary since they were together a lot and we had the kids. We had a lot of laughs about this....and the guys just went with it since it took more time to explain. :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That is too funny.

All caught up again. I can relate to the sick children, we have all had someone sick for the last few weeks and now I think my youngest is coming down with a cold. I could hear him coughing last night.

For the DVC, we have been in contact with them twice now. But each time I balk at the yearly maint expense. If we only had to pay for the initial cost I would do it, but I just cant see paying $700/year and with the economy I am just a little skittish. But are they still giving free fast passes for the tour? I would just go for that!!!

I love the pictures of your kids waiting for HSM. Our family is not into HSM. I have a 13 year old daughter but she is more into science fiction. She was very excited to see Prince Caspian.

I am going to try and get my husband to show me how to upload a picture of the giraffe licking him. It is not the best because my daughter's Mickey ear is in the way. But, you can tell the giraffe has his head right on my husband.

I am looking forward to more of your report.

I know, it got to be "normal" for them by the end of the week, they just kept accepting their well wishes....it really was funny!!! :rotfl:

Oh no...you too? It's that time of year, but it stinks!! I will say that today it's 60, yes, 60 degrees here in Plymouth!!! In February!! I opened a couple of windows to get those sick germs out of here!!! Wish me luck!!:goodvibes

I'm with you, the yearly fees are what kill you. If it was the one time expense, then maybe but then like Todd always says, you're putting out $2-3K over the year for payment/fees and then you have to pay for food, air, etal when you get there anyways so it ends up being more expensive then what we've done our last couple of vacations for.....hmm....

I'm with you, maybe when we go in September, I"ll get to take the tour with my Mom and sister and get some FP or something!!!! Plus it would be nice to see for the future......

:grouphug:
That's for you and the sick babies. Hope everybody's feeling better soon!

Oh, thank you!! You're too sweet! :goodvibes I can definately use that today....Todd left for NY this a.m about 5 or so, won't be home until Friday night...we actually only woke up once last night (woohoo!!!!!) but now Lucas needs to go to the dr. I think and Ethan just started...when it rains, it pours!!!

I would love to see that pic!!!!!! Too funny, I was telling Todd about it and he couldn't believe it, he said I would have loved it!!! He's right...but if I saw it happen to someone else, as much as I love giraffes, not sure I would want that to happen!! LOL!:rotfl:

:) NOTE:
I'm hoping to try and update tonight when the kiddos are in bed and I have the house to myself...thanks for everyone's understanding!!! We're hanging in there...Cole is still on the nebulizer, I started Lucas today, and in between the meds/nose wiping/laundry, I'm trying to check in from time to time!! I"ll write soon, I promise! ON the other note....at least I'm dragging this out a bit, right? LOL!!

Oh! Btw, my sister comes to town on Saturday and we're surprising my Mom on Wednesday with our trip! I can't wait....I may go off topic and update you with that too, if you don't mind?:confused3

Aww you poor thing!! I hope your kiddos feel better soon and you can get some rest. We will patiently await your update!!
