6 kids under the age of 6 take on WDW, will Santa still visit when we get home?

Hi!!!:wave2:
Thanks for stopping by and reading my TR!! It's been fun to share with everyone, glad you're enjoying it. And lucky you, your trip is SO close now!!!:cool1: Where are you staying? Are you going to do a TR? Let me know, would love to read it, if so!

The baby backpack was great, I would highly recommend it. It's great for keeping the baby in one place, up high out of the crowds and for them to see parades and that sort. He really liked being in it. He wasn't so sure about it here at home, he'd cry for a couple of minutes and resist a bit when trying to get him in but once he was up, he loved it and would spend at least an hour in there! And you can see by some of my pics he even napped!!:thumbsup2 We bought it secondhand in babyshop here and it's a Snugli Crossroads. It's lightweight, airy and for $20, so worth it!! I bought it just for Disney, but it's been great for the aquarium and that sort here at home. How much does your baby weigh? It says it's for 16-40 lbs. Cole was about 21-22 lbs. at that point and he would get heavy so much more than that, I'm not sure I could wear him, but Todd would have been fine. It wasn't too cumbersome for us, when we weren't using it, we put it in our double stroller, it slide between the seats just fine, not sure what kind of stroller you're bringing? And I think you'd prefer this over a front carrier...I would think with a baby that big, your back would be breaking!!! :crazy2: Let me know if you have any more questions....if you were closer, I would have let you borrow ours!!:goodvibes

Thanks for coming by!! Hope to countdown with you!!:cool1:

Thanks for the post. Our DD is only 18 pounds. I wouldnt wear her for sure, but Im thinking DH would enjoy that. We havent used the front carrier since our last trip when she was 3 1/2 mos old. We had the exact same Bjorn carrier that you friend is using. Thanks for the offer to borrow yours if we were closer. Thats so nice of you. We have a couple of 2nd hand stores around here so I can check them. Thanks again for the info.
We are taking our travel system stroller without the infant seat. I would love to be bringing our Mac Quest, but since she will be in the stroller a lot I figured we need to bring the big one for one more trip:sad:
We are staying at the Poly, 1st time, and are very excited. We have stayed POP twice and love it too. Ive got some of the same pictures of my kids that you have posted with your kids!! Thanks again :cool1:

Looks like you had good seats for Beauty and the Beast. We did it 2 years ago during our September visit and it was soooo HOT even though it was shaded. I was miserable and just wanted OUT of there. We'll have to try it again when it is not HOT!!!

And of course, sorry if someone has already asked this but how TALL is your DH? He seems to tower the rest of you. (Tall and almost as strapingly handsom as mine.):rotfl2:

I can't even imagine how it would be in the heat!! We were in Disney in 9/07 and it was SO stinkin' hot so I can only imagine how watching that show would have been under that roof!! UGH!:beach:

No ,no one has asked....Todd is 6'4"....and yes, he does tower over all of us!! Heehee!! But especially Tracey and Adam!! LOL!!:rotfl2: Tracey is just 5'2" and Adam will tell you he's 5'6" with heels! But I'm about 5'5" and he's about my height!! LOL!:rotfl: And I agree, we both have handsome hubbys!!;) How tall is he?:confused3

Hi Everyone!:wave2:
I see that I've had 8000+ views and only a couple hundred responses on my TR, if you're lurking, please come out and say hello! I'd love to have you here!!

Thanks!:goodvibes

Ok, I am all caught up and I must make a Dis confession here. I usually tend to gravitate towards "couples" trip reports, like engagement ones or honeymoon reports, not because "family" reports aren't great, but I think it's because I don't have a family of my own yet. But I have to say I LOVE yours, I am totally hooked. You guys are just too darn cute and I'm gonna be sad when this TR is over!!

I love the photos of Beauty and the Beast. I have never attended that show but it is on our list for next time.

It is so sad when your trip starts coming to the end:sad1: After all that planning and it is over too fast....:upsidedow

I love the Beauty and the Beast pictures. We aren't doing HS this time so it was nice to see them.

We only have one common day in December...wait, maybe two. I love looking at other TR's from the same time...we could be in one another's pictures. :lmao: I could not have asked for a better week. Perfect weather....low crowds....just perfect! :goodvibes

Oops I did it again (hello Britney Spears!)... I fell behind again. :sad2: But I have enjoyed catching up! ::yes:: You got so many terrific pictures. I especially got a kick out of the ones that chronicle the meltdowns in AK (no worries I even have melt downs as a grown-up!), the picture at the end of the day at MK when your boys look so tired, the pic of Cole sleeping against his Dad's back, the kids faces at the Beauty and Beast show. And I LOVE all of your photopass group pictures. You all look like you are having so much fun together. :goodvibes

Sorry Coral Reef was not what you imagined. It's awful when you do all that planning and have certain expectations that just aren't met. But one "not so great" night in such a magical trip isn't too bad.

Oh and great job on the t-shirts! Everyone looked great. I MUST make t-shirts for my next trip!!

Oh and also like your countdown. 33 weeks, I think it was? You're right-- it'll fly by. And you have the DIS to keep you company and help you plan!!

Im back Im back!!

You have done such an amazing job writing your TR!!! I've enjoyed being along for the ride... sorry I've been so bad about posting:rolleyes:

I love the PP pics from HS with all of you! They are fantabulous!

I know the end is right around the corner... but I hate to see it coming...I've just enjoyed this so much

I have enjoyed your last two updates. Animal Kingdom is not my favorite park either. I do love Everest and we really enjoyed the Safari ride this time, but it is way too much walking. On our Safari a giraffe actually stuck its head into the truck and licked my husband. He is not one to enjoyed an animal licking him, but even he thought it was cool.

I love the group pictures. You all look so happy. Beauty and the Beast is great!

You are too sweet!! :grouphug: Thank you for your kind words and I completely understand why you wouldn't normally read about family trips! It's funny because I read both but enjoy peoples reports without kids because there is SO much you miss/see when you're with the kids, so it's fun to learn about those places or see things you wouldn't see with the babies. Hence, why I am reading your TR!! :goodvibes

You have to go and see the show, it was really well done, as if anything at Disney isn't, but you know what I mean. I totally recommend it!!

I know, can't beleive it's almost over either...what will I do with myself when it's done? Besides keep up on all of my readers reports?!! LOL!!:rotfl:

It was a really cute show, worth seeing next time you visit HS, for sure!!:thumbsup2

I glanced briefly at your report, hope to catch up on it later today....I know! I'm with you, I love to see what others perspective on things that week were like from when I traveled!! It was a perfect week!!!! Just beautiful and would go back in a second that time of year!!!!!:)

Hi Christine!! There are a lot of reports to keep up with!! It's a part time job!!!;) Thanks for coming back and catching up with me...I'm just about wrapping it up...thankfully our weeks overlapped so I can read on with yours! And you're right, thank goodness for DIS so I can keep live vicaroiusly through everyone else these next 33 (AHHH!!!!:cool1: ) weeks! :cheer2:

Hi Paula!!!! Welcome back!;)

Like I said to Christine, it's a part time job checking in with everyone's TRs, so I completely understand!! No worries!:goodvibes I know....it's almost over....but dont' worry, there is LOTS more to read about!! Thanks for your kind compliments about my TR! Stay tuned....:wave2:

Hi!:flower3: I can't believe your DH was licked by a giraffe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: I think I would have been a bit nervous about that one!! :scared: And giraffes are my absolute FAVORITE animals in the world, but wow!!!! Did you get it on film? I would love to see it, if so!!!!!

Thanks for your nice compliments about the group photos, they came out pretty good..especially considering we had 6 little ones to deal with! Those photopass guys work fast!!!:thumbsup2

Hoping to get an update done today....stay tuned everyone! And HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!:cool1:

I just read your TR and have enjoyed it. You have such a cute family. Can't wait to read more.

Hurry up with the update! :D I need something to keep me distracted... DH & I are going house-hunting tomorrow and I'm really stressed out about it for some reason.... :confused3 But anyway, distract me please. :)

Great updates and I love the pictures. I also enjoyed the B & B show when I went in August. It was hot like a PP mentioned earlier but it was worth it.

Sorry Michelle!
Trying to update now....the kids are quiet, so I'll try and sneak one in!! Shh....lol!:rotfl: House hunting!!!! How exciting!! Enjoy and don't settle!!! No need to stress, don't put a time limit on it, when you find the right house, you'll know!! We've owned 3 homes now and I love house shopping!!!! Update coming up!! Hope today went well for you!!!:goodvibes

Thank you!! It was a great show, wasn't it? They really do such an awesome job at everything at Disney, don't they? I can't imagine it in the heat but glad you still enjoyed it!!!:goodvibes

Okay, so I left off at Beauty and the beast show, we continued on our way towards the main drag, one of the boys and I needed to make a potty break, so we left everyone else on the bench waiting for us. When we came out, we found the group talking to the guy at DVC!!!!!:cool1: Todd and I have been debating on DVC for the last year plus and after talking about it with Tracey, I guess she was intrigued as well so she started talking to them. I wasn't gone that long but by the time I got back, DVC was wondering if we could set up an appt. now or later today to tour a unit. I was REALLY excited about the possibility and we really struggled with this but after being told we'd be gone for over an hour, this being our last day, we decided against it and were told to think about it for tomorrow morning before we left. I've been talking to someone over the phone about it off and on over the year, have all the info here at home and since there was so much ground to cover this day, we thought it was best to just keep moving.....after all, I did not need any more encouragement to buy DVC, it's on our list. But being a one income family, it's just not the right decision for us right now with the way the economy is. SNIFF, SNIFF!!:sad1: This 'event' took up about 1/2 hour of our time so we decided it was time to move it out....

We decided to go and see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, I always love this show and the kids really seemed to enjoy it, as well. Just as we got out, we realized that Playhouse Disney- Live on Stage was about to start, so we snuck in there and watched all of our friends, Mickey, Minnie, Tigger and Pooh and Handy Manny...here are a few pics from that show....we were in the far right hand corner, sitting on the ground, so sorry the pics aren't too great.

Tracey and Adam and kids....guess they have a similiar pic on their camera, but of us....wish I had that now!! :guilty:

The show was cute, not as great as I remembered last year for some reason. Last years show was "Bear and the big blue house" and I thought it was cuter and easier to see. The kids had a tough time seeing since the characters were puppets coming from the floor and since all the seats are on the floor and the show is for kids, it seems like maybe they should be a big bigger? But, it was still cute!!

Coming up next....HSM!!! Stay tuned!

I totally relate to the sniff sniff economy-related DVC decision. But it doesn't appear that DVC is going anywhere so we WILL have our turn!! ::yes::
