Trying to decide - Originally I only planned to do 3 parks - MK, Epcot, MGM in that order. But, when I booked my package the CM "talked me into" a 4 day ticket (it was only $14.67 more for a 4 day vs 3 day). So here I am rethinking my entire itinerary. We arrive into Orlando on a 9:30 am flight. I am not planning on renting a car. I figure we should be at the Poly by 11:00. We have PS at Chef Mickey's at 8 pm and i hope to catch the water parade and fireworks from the beach at the Poly. We've never stayed onsite - much less the Poly, it looks fabulous. I would be content to stay there but DD11 is with me. She went to AK once, but doesn't remember. She went to MGM on a different trip and kind of remembers and she loves to swim. My Disney obsession today is - enjoy the resort, go to AK, go to MGM around and around in my head. Aaaagh! Can you tell I'm an over-planner!!

So here is my question - If you had 6 hours to go to a park the week after Easter would you do AK or MGM. Also, it doesn't look easy to get to either park from the Poly - am I wrong?

I'd do AK. You can get a lot of the park done in 6 hours. MGM has so many "shows" that it can really consume up your day. My experience at MGM is that timing is everything. AK has some awesome attractions (even though you'll hear some people that don't like the park at all). Lion King is one of the best shows at the world hands down. Also, the Bugs Life 3-D movie and Safari are must dos. There's lots more there too, but I think you'd get more bang for your time at AK, especially if your'e already doing a day at each of the other parks.
As far as transportation, I've never done it from the Poly so someone else will have to help you there.
Good luck!

I go to Animal Kingdom, and the reason for my thinking is that by the time you get to AK around lunchtime, the crowds should already be starting to thin out for the day. In our experiences at the AK, by early afternoon, most attractions have very short wait-times, and your time would be spent more efficiently.

I think it totally depends if you enjoy going on the RNR and TOT. I would go to MGM just to ride those. If I didn't like those two rides, MGM would personally be pointless for me and I would spend my time over at the AK.

It really depends where your interest are.

AK would be the one that I would select. It is my families least favorite park so if we would miss anything it would be no big deal. From those that really like the park I have heard that it is the park that can eaisly be toured in half a day. I know my family can get it done in an even shorter amount of time.

I'd pick AK too. At MGM-- the major rides like TOT and RNRRC are already going to have long lines, and possibly during Easter have really late returns on the FP's (or be gone by noon). Also, you're already doing the other 3 parks.

I'm assuming your talking that you'll be doing this on your arrival day??? If you don't have a big desire to do AK-- then I'd think about heading straight to MK for a few extra hours in addition to the full day you have planned. You can take the monorail (which cuts transportation time). You can pick out a few attractions get them done-- then possibly be back w/ time to swim before your PS.

Ak all the way. It's my favorite park of all, but I can usually get everything done in half a day. Of course, DH hates shows, so we don't watch those and that cuts down on our time.

Very helpful. I really am obsessing. Of course the other thing I failed to mention was that I can only down grade my ticket through CRO prior to arrival. Once there I can only upgrade - That was news to me.

BTW to the Georgia Bulldog - War Eagle!!
