~ 6 Hit the World for XMAS ~ UPDATED 06/19/08

[DISNEY4XMAS]

So as we last left off we decided not to head back to Epcot for the night but to turn in. Early to bed EARLY to RISE! I was up at 6 am and in the shower I had everyone up by 7 and we were ready to go by 745.

This is the ONLY park that we made rope drop. We were all excited to make it into the park and the kiddies where told to hang on because we were going to be running. WRONG! We had to wait now for rope drop which would have been exciting but we couldn't see much! Finally they let us and and I think along with every other person we headed for the LAND for Soarin. I was constantly snapping pictures as we moved with the HERD of PEOPLE. I was surprised that most people were just getting a fastpass. The standby line was a twenty min wait so we waited. Here are a few shots of us and the LAND while we came in.

I was truley amazed on how beautiful this building was. This is the first time that we had been in there.

The line for soarin went fast. as we lined up for our seats there was a great family from England in front of us we had a nice talk to them. I think there were a few of them that had birthdays so of course we wished them a Happy Birthday! I just love hearing folks from England talk, especially the children they are so cute. I really wanted to get the front row on Soarin but we got the middle row which wasn't bad, it was perfect. Everyone really liked it! The kids thought it was awsome as we flew over the orange grove how you could smell the oranges. They talked about that the whole day!
After Soarin was finished we headed over to the Land Boat ride. I had seen pictures of it on someone elses TR so I said WE MUST DO IT! Everyone found it very interesting except the DD she thought it was boring! TEENAGERS!

After this ride was done we decided that we would head to TEST TRACK AGAIN! This was everyones FAVORITE RIDE! But first DD13 wanted to do Mission space! Grandma said NO she wouldn't do it so did Dad so that Left me to ride with her! So DM DH DS7 & DS5 head for Test track and get in line 40 minute wait. DD & I go to mission space to get fastpasses. we have 90 mins before we can ride! we head for test track and DH calls and tells us to RUN because line is moving FAST! we get there and have to cut a few people to catch up and then all of a sudden the line stops! It took us 75 mins to get through the line and on the ride! This time since we knew what to expect we thought it only fair for those who sat in back to get the front this time!!! here is a pic!

We had about 20 mins to get from test track to Mission space before our FP expired. Sam and I ran and I sent DM DH & DS's to the Coral Reef to check in for our Ressies. Sam decided that she wanted to to the Extreme Orange mission. I wasn't to please considering that I knew that SOMEONE had died on this ride! YIKES!! It was nice that we had fastpasses because it took only about 5 minutes to go through line. Here are some of the pictures that I took!

So I lived to tell about that the ride. I did get extremely nervous when they said that they provided barf bags, which I thought I was going to actually going to have to use. My phone rings and it is DM telling me that they won't seat us till the whole party is there. Sam and I run this must have been funny looking. We finally get there and only wait another five minutes till we are seated. I was sad because we were seated on the opposite wall of the Aquarium. I was really hoping that the kids would be able to sit right next to it. Our waiter Halil was great we explained that Zac had diabetes and it would take us a few minutes to figure out what we would be having. He said he would take our drink order and give us as much time as we needed. When Zac's blood sugar goes out of whack he is subject to have meltdowns. So when he was asked what he wanted to drink he said rootbeer. I said NO because it isn't diet. He stated wailing the he was sick of diet coke because that is the ONLY DIET SODA that WDW HAS. People were now starting to stare, I said Fine give him the rootbeer and we will just give extra insulin! Halil got down on Zac's level and said Hey there buddy would you rather have a good time here or get sick and go to the hospital Zac said that he wanted to stay in WDW but he WASN'T drinking another DIET COKE!!! NOTE TO WDW: GET OTHER DIET BEVERAGES!!! So we said that it would be fine we didn't want to cause a scene in the restaurant. NOw that was over we looked at menu. Zac heard that grandma was having Loster soup and that is what he wanted so I told him these are your choice to have the loster soup... I am now praying for NO MELTDOWN. He was fine THANK GOD!

Tyler my baby is a creature of habit between 12:30 and 1:30 if given a few minutes to sit he will fall asleep and nap. It doesn't matter if it is loud light or what have you he will sleep. He ordered his Pizza and promptlly laid down on the seat.

So I didn't get any pictures of our entree's because I think we were all to hungry but we all enjoyed our food.

DM - Surf & Turf
Ds7 - loster soup
DH - Surf & turf
Entrees:
DD DH & I all had NY strip
Zac had Grilled chicken breats
DM had lobster soup and salad
Tyler Pizza
and for Dessert Sam had a fruit cup
the Boys had Ice cream sundae's and The grown ups had MMMMMM The Chocolate wave. I have to applogize about this picture because I dug right into it before taking the snapshot!

Our Bill came and Our total was $252.87. It was great having the DDP

MMMM Just think of the Chocolate Wave that was the (well my whole Reason) for eating there!!! The Chocolate Wave is like a warm brownie with Hot Fudge Inside oh and there had been a piece of white chocolate placed on it all fancy but Like I said I dug into it before snapping Picture! Oh and DD was so mad that she had gotten the FRUIT CUP when she saw that come out. I had been reading the food porn and saw that and said OH YEAH HAVE TO EAT THERE! Thank god I decided not to start my diet until DISNEY trip was over! I have even waited till all the holidays were over ! I have NO self control when it comes to desserts.

Test track was one of our fav rides! The kids would have loved to have ridden it all day, Plus we are big NASCAR Fans so it was kinda like riding in a nascar car!! Oh I forgot to post to that the first time that we rode Test Track I know I said that they were having technical difficultties but as we were outside on the track there were fire truck pulling up to the back of the building.... We didn't feel to safe on the ride at the point but heck we were at DISNEY!!!! We would have died HAPPY!

Trying to update but PHOTOOBUCKET change on how you edit pictures and now it won't let me make pics smaller to put them on message boards. I will keep trying today!

Christmas was my DM choice, not mine I had heard it was goingto be extremely busy and We thought it was! My next time to go I would like to try March and Oct. I have been in March but that was almost 26 years ago.

I know! I keep lookinng in amazement at your pics and reading about what you were doing each day, because it is soooo close to us. I keep half-expecting to see us in the background of one of your pics. In fact, I believe you guys had the same Coral Reef waiter that we did! That's the way my DH was after the first trip. He went for my sake, thinking it was going to be a mostly kiddie place, and ever since, he's always asking me, "So, when should we go back?" Isn't it great having DH's who love Disney as much as we do? Yeah, it's hard to beat that weather that we had. It was funny, because we expected it to be cooler, but were so glad it wasn't. Most of the time, it actually felt like summer to us, but summer at home, not Disney World summer.

SO we are in the midst of an ice storm as long as I can keep power and cable I will be doing an update tomorrow! Unfortunatly the pictures will be on the larger size because photobucket has changed it editing ways and I can't for the life of me resize my pictures and save them to that size. So bare with me on it and hope for the best that the rain stops soon! I have have a long ride home tonight in the wonderful weather I think I would take a hurrican over this ice stuff any day!

OK SO HERE IS THE SCOOP!!!!

So I braved the ice storm at work and drove home in it! It took me 35 minutes to clean off my car! I drove home and worshiped the house and POWER! Roads weren't to good! DH has a upper respiratory infection and the stomach Flu! I just get to bed and the power is still going ....... DH gets up he is sick! I got to thinking it is awful quiet in the house DUH!!! we have NO POWER! As far as I know we only lost power for four minutes. I get up the next day and fix all the clocks and do laundry. Head for work and DH calls me there and tells me that he can't get computer going! I said I will check it out when I get home. I took an hour playing with it and plugging it into other plugs and NO LUCK!!! I have a computer GEEK friend and I bring it up to him and he can't fix it to new for him...

SO I have gone to Best Buy today and I have bought a new computer..... It will be in some time next week.... I didn't buy a PC I bought a MAC... I hope I have better luck with it. So we have braved an ice storm, the flu, Respitory infections ,a death in the family, and the Death of my computer all this week. It has been a rough week.

I did see a rainbow today so that means the future is looking brighter! I hope to be back on line by next week and starting back on my report. Right now I am showing off my Pictures of WDW to my family.

My computer died on me about a month ago so I feel your pain. I lost all the pictures I hadn't printed yet. That hurt I also lost my Quick book info - had to reconstruct my check book register Now I keep the old fashioned kind

Pictures of World showcase
Canada boys weren't to impressed with it because we only live 10 miles to Canada. Not that they see it all to much.

Moving on to France, We stopped on the Bridge and had Photopass pictures and of course my own pictures, Here are the boys goofing around on the Bridge to france

this is so beautiful! Dh and I played the lotto the other day because it was 83 million dollars I said I would have moved to the Boardwalk so I could be close to WS, that is how much I liked there!

OH OH I SEE A PRINCESS!!!!!!! I see a PRINCESS!!!!!

Sleeping Beauty, she was very pleasant and of course as she was signing autographs my pen died and she said that things have a way of falling asleep around her and she didn't know why! So we got in with her and had pictures done

The boys said good bye and Sleeping Beauty gave them each a KISS on the cheek.

Zac just beamed for the rest of the day! and wouldn't wash his face that night

There was no fun in this for The Zac man but there was for me! He told me I had to delete this picture I told him I did but here it is for you viewing pleasures!

Morocco, I think this is my most favorite of the countries that I have seen!

Dh was hoping for the belly dancers but no luck! We did hear of how they don't celebrate christmas but what they do instead, I can't fill you in due to I was at the snack shack getting drinks... If you are there you must try the mint iced tea. MMMM good!

I was glad to read the disboards before I went and We learned about the kidcot stations and I learned that there was more to each country that just what you saw as you walked down the main drag!

Here is DM in the bazar area of Morocco.

Sam and I wanted Henna tattoo's but Dh was impatient. so we got them to go. they are still sitting here, not done!

Heres the WHOLE Family. I really like that people will take pictures of you without hesitation here in in WDW.

As we were leaving Morocco we saw Jasmine and the Genie walking out so we jumped in line and a very not so nice Cm said I am sorry the line is closed I was like WHAT EVER THEY JUST CAME OUT! so I snapped some pictures and just kept walking. Didn't matter anyhow because Ty didn't want to see the genie.

Oh we so some what of a celebrity, it was the taffy lady from the Samantha Brown Christmas disney special. We watched her for a while as she made different taffy pieces.

I love this shot!

We shopped for a bit while the kids and DM watched the taffy lady. the kids found us in there and were WOWED by all the Pokemon stuff! So they bought some cards! Then off to find the Kidcot station, This one was a little harder to find. But after much looking we found it! It was nice because it was in an almost museum of tin toys!

So after Germany I said that we needed to get going so we could make our dinner ressies. I would have really like to have gone back to the cabin and changed and freshened up but there was NO time to allow this. so we were the scrubby ones at the GF! We took the monorail from Epcot to the GF. we were in awe of this place. We made our way with a crowd to the elevator that looked like a birdcage. The kids thought that was cool. And of course we got lost and had to ask for directions to the restaurant, HHHMMMM CM didn't know where it was either, I am hoping that he was new like his first day new! We fine 1900 park fare and check in. There is a wait so they advise us to walk around. So we take pictures

Here are Sam and Zac with Santa, Tyler is afraid of Santa. This santa was great because he tried to get tyler to like him he crawled on the floor and made every attempt to get him to come over towards him. NO luck!

Did I mention how out of place I felt here. We were in short and t-shirt and everyone else we in dresses and suits. It was after all Christmas eve. I felt really out of place and grubby.
Finally our beeper goes off and they bring us in. We were seated in a separate dining area which was great because there were fewer people and it wasn't to loud, as I heard it could be.
Cinderella was the first to visit and I told her how the Boys had been kissed by Sleeping beauty and maybe she could Kiss them too?

Tyler wasn't up for another kiss from a princess so he sat and hid!
Prince Charming came around next

Lady Tremaine was not into giving kisses and I asked and her response was " I don't kiss my own kids and you want me to kiss yours I think NOT!"

Drisella was up next and must I say these characters played it to the Hilt They were great!

Anastasia was next.... OMG did she remind me of my niece. They sound just alike. She told it like it was. Because we were all up getting dinner we got single shot of each one of us with her and she was like is this a photoshoot or what let's rap it up here! The kids were laughing so hard!

We went shopping in the gift shoppe on the second floor. He is Dh trying on a goofy pirate hat.... I think Santa actually bought him it for Christmas

This is a very moving fireworks display because I can't remember having tears flow at any other fireworks display. I wasn't the only one there with tears, there were many. I don't know if these are in order I just plopped them in, so forgive me if they are not. these were filmed by Samantha
After this we all went back to the cabin and went to bed because Santa was coming!
