Day 3 Friday May 9
Weather low 90s and Sunny. Lucked out with weather this trip!
Planned Itinerary Blizzard Beach Hotel Downtown Disney / Rainforest Cafe
Blizzard Beach was scheduled to be closed on Fridays in May, but this day it was open. So I of course thought it wouldnt be crowded. Wrong!. Long line to rent a locker and towel. Finally got on our first Runoff Rapids waterslides at 10:45. Did Cross Country Creek and also Ski Patrol, where DS enjoyed the T-Bar attraction. Spent lots of time in the Melt Away Bay. Lots of steps at this waterpark, but it was fun and I would come back again. It was a nice break from trekking around the parks. Will try Typhoon Lagoon for something different next time.
Left around 3 to head back to hotel to get ready for PS dinner at Rainforest Café, Downtown Disney.
Had a great meal at Rainforest. DH had the giant Caesar Salad with the shrimp and I had the shredded BBQ beef wrap. Kids meals were good we were tempted to order the $12.99 Volcano for dessert, but the kids got ice cream instead and we all split that. We shopped at Once Upon a Toy, Lego Store and World of Disney.
Several packages later, we boarded a bus for CSR. As it turned out, we were the only ones on the bus - a private ride! When DD remarked how she wanted to drive a Disney Bus, the driver pulled out two business-card sized Honorary Walt Disney World Transportation Bus Licenses. Gave one to DS and DD - They were thrilled!
Everyones tired lights out 9 pm
Next Up Tomorrow We leave for home.
