So I will be doing 6 days at Disney World in August 2014. I am not really sure how many days to spend in each park. We don't have hoppers.

I was thinking this:

2 days at Magic Kingdom
1 day at Epcot
1 day at Hollywood Studios
2 days at Animal Kingdom

I know most people would do 2 days at Epcot and 1 at Animal Kingdom, but I don't think I need 2 at EP because I only want to do future world. I did the world showcase only 2 years ago. And at AK I want to take my time and try to do a lot there.

I don't just want to do Everest, Safari, DINOSAUR, and a show. So what do you think about 2 at MK, 1 at EP, 1 at DHS, and 2 at AK?

For us, having a park hopper is a must. Depending on crowds, weather, ADRs, rides going down, etc., plus resort time, I think it's essential to be able to change your plans last minute.

I think if you've sat down and looked at what you want to do at each park and figured there's twice as much that you want to do at AK than at Epcot or DHS, then you're good to go!

It might help to give us ages of who is in your travel party, then we can make more concrete suggestions.

P.S. I hope you're not planning this trip down to the minute like before. ;)

I think you have an awesome plan! We just returned from the World and we did 2 AK days and only 1 Epcot day. DS was ready to leave after we rode Test Track and Soarin. We are returning in August 2014 too:cool1:

why not down to the minute?

since AK is my favorite park followed by MK and then the other 2 and I never
park hop Your plans look great to me

why not down to the minute?

Danny- we all tour differently and for some of us, the detail in your plan was a bit overwhelming. Not wrong, but we have all witnessed those families that were so invested in their plan that they forgot what they were vacationing for.

Have you decided to stay in or off site?

I love Epcot and could spend a few days there, but there is a lot to be said for AK. It is a large park with plenty to see, so my family could easily spend 2 days exploring. We never last an entire day, and typically leave either just before or just after the parade, but that is how we are in every park. We always break for a few hours, and start fresh at dinnertime.

I decided to stay offsite, we have a free place to stay around 40 min away, and we found that way, we can have a rest day in between each day so we won't get as tired. Also we really do not want to go back to the hotel in the middle of the day.

I am going down to WDW in aug/2014 also sometime within last two weeks. How is this time of year there, weather, discounts, crowds and etc.having a family reunion.:cool1:
