Welcome! Another family! YEA!!


And I wanted to take a moment to celebrate - we booked our pre-cruise accomodations this morning! We got a Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs! My neices are very about being in a treehouse - but all four of us adults are about it!

4newtocruise -- we are DCL veterens. We sailed on DCL back in 2004. We were on the Magic 7-day Eastern. We LOVED it.
Our friends have never sailed on DCL, but have heard us talking about it so many times they decided to join us! Hopefully, with a little faith, trust and pixie dust they will have as good a time as we did on our first DCL trip

That's awesome! Would love to stay in one one day. Maybe my sister will let us splurge sometime and do it with her points. Regretably not before the cruise...I'm scared WDW will be scary busy for us in June. We're still used to going in the off season so I'm pretty sure my little family of 4 will probably just stay in Cocoa Beach beforehand.

What's everyone else's plans before the cruise???

Well, I am adding even more to my family who is coming!!

My uncle (Tom) and aunt (Dee) will be joining us this cruise!!

So this makes 8 adults and 1 6 year old!!

We are HUGE Pirates of the Caribbean fans - Just saw a press release that filming has started for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Release Date is set for late May 2011. That means it will be showing in the Walt Disney Theater on our cruise June 7th!!

Johnny Depp & Geoffrey Rush are returning. But Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are not.

I will be booking later this week. It will be myself, DH, and DD11. We have never cruised before and I am at a total loss as to what I need to plan.

We will stay at Disney for about a week before our trip, and then return for a couple more days after the trip. DD knows that we are going to WDW, but the cruise portion will be a surprise. (I hope!)

We have been to WDW several times and just completed our first ABD. We look forward to seeing you all and learning from those of you with experience.

How exciting about the POC movie! We saw one of the last ones while on the cruise, too! Love the movies, but not sure about them without Orlando Bloom. I am soooo Team Will, but I do still love me some Jack.

What meals (if any) need to be booked?

What excursions (and for which days/ports) do I need to make reservations for?

I understand that I can call and book things 75 days out, but I don't know what I'm supposed to book!

The only thing you need to worry about with regards to meals is whether you want early seating or late seating. You only have to make reservations to Palo and you can't do that yet. Same thing for excursions so you'll have plenty of time to think about those. Just make sure you're on the boat and the rest will come later!

This is my first time planning our family vacation and I have been obsessed with Dis....In fact i'm at work now...sssshhhhh

Lol It sure will be a birthday boat. Both my dad and my grandpa will have birthdays onboard!!!
It's never too early to plan!!! Trust me, I'm experienced!!! lol Hotel would be fine to look into, as for airfare, I'm 99.9 percent sure that can't be done until 6 months before. The Raddison is a favorite of my family but we might try Four Points Coco Beach this year.

We did a "kids only" FE on the Wonder last January and it was one of the highlights for my 8 year old. My husband thought I was crazy for doing all this work to make my FE and make all the gifts but then when he saw how excited my DD was everytime there was something in her FE he totally got it!

I would love to do a kids only FE...if anyone is up for starting a sign up list.
