I am proud to say that we will be flying. It's actually going to be cheaper than driving since I happened to check Tuesday after work and found a great deal!!

As for the weather, I just want North Texas to make up its mind....cold, warm, raining, drought and fires....I'm from here but enough is enough!!

Hey, anyone want to make matching shirts for our tween girls??

I think it should be pretty easy. Let's decide on a color (black or red) and then the rhinestone cross/bones iron-on from Walmart. I think it would be cool for the kids.

I am all for this. It sounds like black shirts were already purchased by some. Are they long or short sleeved? Also, are the rhinestones colored?

Of course I will have to make one for my 10 year old. Maybe I will make hers red.

Did someone already buy black shirts? I assume they are short sleeved. Maybe someone can post a picture once they iron on the rhinestones so we can see the placement.

Yes, I got short sleeved black shirts for me and DD12. Haven't looked at how to do the rhinestone thingy yet. It said iron-on. I'm hoping I don't burn the shirt like I did a Brownie vest a few years ago.

DD9 will be wearing a hot pink short sleeve t-shirt with skull, crossbones, says love, in the middle of a heart with wings and other decorations---got that at Children's Place for $6.

Oh...I forgot...Claire's has 3 pairs of skull/crossbone post earrings on a card.

Michele, I'm heading to the mall today I'll have to check the CHildrens Place for DD9...

I bought the girls a pirate kit which included a bandana and eye patch from Justice..They had clearance kits left from Halloween, for .75 cents..

I bought pattern & material and asked my mom to sew DD and myself pirate costumes. Not sure that is going to happen, since she hassn't started and we are 7 weeks away...

Ditto!! ok, I bought the rihnstone skull cross bones at Michaels today, but I am so afraid to position them without somebody else doing it first. I am not crafty in the least. . I got it for dd and I and I got a simple black and white skull and bones for dh and ds. This all for the pirate night. I did get the t-shirts for $2.50 each, and used the coupon from my phone for the first time.

If somebody does it please please post. I may take a chance and if it is crappy then so be it

No indeed you are not alone!! I am normally the one that has my kids to do anything creative. Of course DH is creative, but hes so analytical that it is not that serious .
