6-17-2011 Dream Cruise

You will have a great time!! Our meets group has lots of girls the same age, they are really going to have a blast. My DD will be 12 and 10 when we cruise. They are already making friends online!!

Its awesome to see some many girls my daughters age..Lanegang is right, my DD 9 and DD 12 have already been chatting with some other girls:cheer2:

What time are some of your dinner times? We have a late one at 8:30 which I'm not that happy about..Waiting on a list to hopefully have it switched..

How old are your kids and what kind of food do they like? Our first trip I got the DDP because my kids love ALLLLL sorts of food and it made it worthwhile, especially with the character dining. They were older (15 and 11) but we are Disney Nuts :cool1: We used to be DVC - sometimes I miss it, sometimes I don't lol.

As for your Universal Ticket - check the boards on here for great deals on tickets. That's where I got ours last time for our Christmas trip and surprise cruise, through a link I found on there. I paid for All-Access two-day tickets for the price of one! If you don't find anything right off, post a question about it and people can lead you to where you need to go :goodvibes

I have yet to buy our plane tickets either. :sad2: I really wanted to fly American because of my miles but....idk if it's worth it. :confused3 If we drove, it'd just be DD and I and we would need an extra day there and back to get back home....I want to relax! lol

My two are 2 (will be 3 on day 2 of the cruise) & 8. They are really good eaters especially the oldest one. I see that because he will not be 3, we will not have to purchase the DDP for my youngest one.

I am going to do what you said about checking the boards for the Universal tickets. We are only looking at Island of Adventures because my dh and ds are Superherofans, so even though the little one can not ride too much, he and I can go and "Be" in the surroundings. This will be while dh and dd ride the rides. :goodvibes Still are not sure which park to do at WDW, but we will figure that out later.

DVC is nice so far, although we have one event that I thought that it might not be worth it, but overall it is decent so far. Only time will tell with the rest. :rotfl2:

We did think about Driving, but because dh has to be back at work the day after we return. Well our flight gets in at 9 PM and he has to be up at 5 to go to work. Short turn around. :scared1:

Also, when is everyone's dining times? We have 6:00 with the 9:00 show.

Our dining times are at 8:?? (Late Seating) and the 7:00 PM show. It works our for us! We want to make sure that we are not full from the previous meals!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Danielle,

We had late dining once and as soon as we boarded the ship we went to Rockin D Bar to get it changed, (and Palo reservations too ;)) it was super easy.

I just got the Universal Studios tickets. Got a good deal on a one day ticket.!! :cool1::banana::woohoo:

I did the print at home feature that Universal offers.Actually I placed it in a special virtual folder strictly for my vacation details. :goodvibes

1 thing down... Now a million more!!!! I am getting there slowly.

Thanks for the suggestion TXdeVille :goodvibes

Thanks Colleen for the advice!!!

I would love to go to Universal for a change, but my girls still want to do to the Magic Kingdom:sad2:

Hey Guys, I thought the last time my family cruised there was a place to look at what movies they would be showing during our cruise..Does anybody know where this can be done?

Yes The Buena Vista Theapopcorn::ter Is there a blog or a forum that tells you what movies will be playing the week we will be on the boat:)

Really?? Where can I find that. I am always :surfweb: for information. :goodvibes

Hi All....

I just booked our excursions and registered online and registered dd for the club/lab. Only 78 more days! :cool1:

We did Discover Atlantis in Nassau...its the aquarium only and then just snorkeling in CC. That's the part I'm most excited about. What excursions are y'all doing?

As soon as y'all figure out how/where to find out what movies are playing, let us know. :confused3

We have late dining too....not gonna try to change it. DD isn't a good eater anyway, so she won't be cranky from hunger....eating is not her thing. haha

See y'all soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all ... we're on this cruise too. Bringing our DD (age 11 by 2 days) and DS (age 5).

First cruise, so I can book some excursions tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.

Question: Did Disney change the age limit for the Oceaneer Club and Lab? When I made the reservation my DD was eligible for it, as she and her brother could have done that together. I even saw it on-line listing both of the eligible in my reservation. Today I see only my DS is eligible and that only children up to age 10 can participate. I'm guessing she'll not be able to do that with her brother (since she'll have turned 11 on Jun 15), but does anyone know for sure?

We're a 5 PM Show Time and 6 PM Dining.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I've read other threads that DCL will move kids (up or down) according to 'almost' age or maturity level or siblings, etc. I'm sure she will be able to stay in the club/lab especially since she just turned 11 and her brother will be in there. I'd call and ask.

Thanks, mom2reese. I'm feeling better today regarding this. When we checked-in/selected excursions today, after registering our DS for the club/lab, it gave the option of registering our DD for the lab. So we registered her, and printed the confirmation. All should be good now. Cheers.

We are doing the Harbor Cruise. Mostly because it was earlier in the day (10AM, I think), that way we can get back and hopefully take the plunge on the coaster. By the way I can not swim, but I heard that you really dont need to be able to. I mean I took lessons about 5 years ago,so at least I am ok with being in the water :rotfl2: Stranger, dd CAN swim :lmao: Last cruise we did the Discover Atlantis and loved it!!! DS was only 6 months old at that time, but Kelsey thought it was awesome. On Castaway Cay we are just doing the bike ride and renting the floats. I figured the bike ride would be relaxing a bit and we can see parts of the island not normally seen. Problem is: DD is not 100% a bike rider :confused3 So we can alot of practicing to do before we leave.

I would love to find out the movies being played. I suspect Pirates of the Caribbean 4 because it comes out in May (I think). Unfortunately, we will be just getting off the cruise for Cars 2 :sad2: These are just guesses, but I am up for anything :goodvibes

We also have late seating and that works for us mostly because we may eat too much during lunch and snacks :rotfl2: Also, I heard that they will come and get the kids from the second seating. Someone please chime in if they have any additional information about this.

I am really ready but now that it is April, I can take the slowing down a bit to get some things done for the trip :goodvibes

:lmao::rotfl2::laughing:
That is funny!!! :goodvibes. See... Reading IS Fundamental!! That is what I have to keep telling myself. :lmao:

Anybody with the answer please save me :rotfl:

Too Funny:rotfl::laughing:

I have been searching, but have come up with nothing so far..Keep ya posted:cutie:

We are doing Atlantis too, but we are booking a room at Comfort Suites for $288 to get the wristbands for "free" access to Atlantis for the day. All the DIS reports say it is pretty easy to do. All four of us get wristbands so it is a huge savings vs. booking the ship's excursions for 4 people.

All four of you for $288? That is ALOT cheaper!!!

The thing we are doing is just the aquariums...It's like $59pp and $39 for dd. I think we will stick with that, not sure the height requirements for the slides. Looked like fun tho.

Glad to hear that y'all enjoyed the aquariums...I think dd will too. DD got a new bike for Christmas and has thoroughly enjoyed learning that new skill. ;) She's finally got the hang of it.

When does Cars 2 come out? One of my best memories is about when the original Cars came out. DH is a police man and was taking a test to become sgt. I was so nervous for him, I took dd to see that movie to keep my mind off of it. As soon as we were walking to our car from the theatre he called and told me he passed the test. lol just a good memory for our family!!!

I'm embarrassed to say I've never seen the Pirates movies...maybe I should before we leave! We got dd Tangled and watched it last night....VERY good! My favorite tho is still Princess and the Frog.
