6-17-2011 Dream Cruise

I cant believe how close its getting:banana: Stocked up on all different sunscreens today..I picked a variety of SPF's:rotfl:

I have a countdown calendar on my desk that I stare at every day. :surfweb: It is finally sinking in how close the trip finally is. I am really going to have to get into plan mode because I have full weekends leading up to the cruise. :scared1: I am beyond excited though.

We decided to leave earlier and spend a day/night in Orlando before heading to the port where we are staying at Country Inn and Suites for the pre-cruise night.:cool1:

I just booked a small trip after the cruise. My DH needs to get back to work so he's going to fly home and the kids and will be heading to Disney for 4 nights. I'm so excited!!! :cool1:

We are spending 2 extra nights after the cruise..We plan on spending a day at Magic Kingdom..

Three short little weeks from now we will be on deck, fruity drink in hand, enjoying the sail away!!:cool1:

I have so much to organize and do it's hard to concentrate at work!:rotfl2:

Yes, I am soo ready!!! I am going to go to the Container Store. They have some luggage accessories on sale. I need all the help I can get. I am not the best and organized packer. :rolleyes1 Work ends for me on next Friday!!

Wow! Time is just flying by! We leave in less than 3 weeks! What are the DHs wearing for optional formal night? My DH is not looking forward to dressing up. Will Khakis and a polo do or does he need a button down with or without a tie??

I know what you mean. DH asked if we could skip that night :rotfl2:. I told him it would depend on if that is one the restaurants we have not tried during the rotation. Poor thing. I think that we agreed on him wearing some casual slacks, a shirt and tie. Nothing over the top. Besides, we HAVE to take a family pic that night so I think that he can handle it... I hope. :rotfl:

I have 2 weeks and 2 days left. My goal is to begin packing today.. Well.... We will see :goodvibes

Soo Much to do soo little time:lmao:

My family and I will not be getting dressed up for Formal night...I would like to do it for a nice family picture, but we have opt not too...

I hope these next 2 weeks and 5 days go by fast

Can you just go to the Formal Dinner in casual clothing or do you have to skip it all together?

My DDs and I will be in a dress but DH is hoping to wear khakis and a polo.

No you do not have to be dressed Formal for dinner..We always look nice, but not dressed Formal..Alot of families like to get dressed up and do family pictures...On our last cruise you saw a huge mix, some families Formal and some families dressed causal...

My husband will be wearing Khakis and a Polo..

My husband is wearing dockers and polo type shirts to most meals. He will likely wear his Disney button down on formal night just in case we take a photo, but no tie. :lmao: We are only having Palo brunch so the "monkey suit" stays at home! :rotfl2:

Polo for dh....he doesn't even want to bring pants....lol!!! I told him we were eating in ALL three restaurants and he was going to too!:thumbsup2

I can't believe its getting so close!!!!!

Yes thats just what my husband will be in Khaki dockers and a polo type shirt..My 9 yr old only ever wears dresses and skirts:lmao: and my 13 year will prolly wear dress capris..Me either a sundress or Capris...

dh will also wear the traditional polo & Khakis except that one night. Poor thing :rotfl2:

Hey, what are you guys wearing for the Pirate Night other than the tshirts? Are you wearing shorts or jeans to dinner? I was wondering because I remember the t-shirts and things during the last cruise, but I can not remember if they wore jeans or shorts. I know that it is not normally allowed, but surely for that night....

Maybe I will ask on the boards as well..

I always wear capris, but I'm sure my husband wear khaki shorts to dinner..Resort Casual is allowed..Just not bathing suits and coverups...

I think my husband will only bring 1 pair of pants, he will most likely be wearing Khaki shorts to dinner...

:thumbsup2 Thanks Kedz :thumbsup2
That is what I was thinking... I figured that it should be fine as long as it is on that night only. That would be weird to go to the dining rooms with those swimsuits and cover ups.

I just finished packing the kids clothes, and I packed them some Bermuda shorts for that night with the tshirts.

The rest of the nights, I have some sundresses and a cure black dress. Same for dd. Actually she only has 2, so we will rotate them for her. The little one has the sweater vests with the coordinating shorts for every night. He is just so little, that the shorts are already too long on him, so that works for him. :rotfl:

I guess I will get started with the adults packing on next week sometime.

No problem!!! My family wont look sloppy, but we will be comfortable..Its hard when we are flying, I hate bringing anything that will require me to have to iron :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

So you feel my pain. I am not an ironing person at all. On vacation, I hate it even more. :lmao: Thats what? another 30 minutes added to your day because of that. Comfort is the name of the game indeed.
