6/13/9 space shuttle caravan!!

Hi, all.
Just wondering who else will be heading East before the sunrise on 6/13 to watch the space shuttle launch?!?! Also, if you are going, where will you be watching from? We're torn between Jetty park & Space Walk Park, as well as the best route there & back.

We are headed down also! Driving from NC after work friday and finding a place to park around 3am. We are looking for suggestions also.

We just pulled over on the side of the highway just outside of Cocoa beach and it worked out great. There was a spot where everyone was pulling over and I think there was even concessions plus an actual countdown.

We'll be trying to view from Space View Park - We'll leave Orlando about 4 AM, with a packed breakfast, so we can eat after the launch and wait for traffic to clear. We may head to the beach (Canaveral National Seashore) for awhile before heading back to Orlando.

That sound very much like our plan. One question, where's Canaveral National Seashore? We were going to head south to Cocoa Beach, but maybe this would be a better choice?
