OK- she finally went to sleep- I'm off to make baskets(got to make my nephews one to) anyway, good night all!! Happy Easter!!

Where do you teach?
I wish my husband would be a little involved at least. He just shows up for the cruise and that's it. I enjoy the planning but some times I'd like some help.

I guess I am the vacation planner on our end. Mariann plans the rest of our lives but I get to plan the vacations, I think I have the better end of that deal:rotfl:. I teach one class a year at Carnegie Mellon in Mechanical Engineering.

Monsters vs. Aliens was pretty good (not great). My son wants to see Hanna Montana. He has fallen in love with her.

The movie was sooooo good. I was not a big fan of hers but I really liked her in the this movie. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it that was in our group.

During the howdown throwdown Brooklyn took her, her sister, and our friends 2 kids and stood in the front of the theatre and did the whole dance. It was soooo cute! She had been waiting to go see the movie so she could stand up and do the dance! Brooklyn def did not get her outgoing personality from her mother! You can't pay me to get up and even talk in front of people let alone dance!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey.. I didn't know we were neighbors ~ I am in MI (between Detroit & Port Huron). My DD & I were just in West Chester (just N of Cinci).

What flight are you booking home? I booked Southwest at 12:10pm connection in Baltimore.

flight home will be with delta leaving at 210 with a connection at laguardia. i had to cancel a trip for easter weekend when i got into my car accident due to medical bills and needing to buy a new car since i only had liability, so i changed the flight to june 20th so i wouldnt lose all my money.

So does everyone agree that getting the cars for Key West is a waste of money and just jump off and on the trolly?

Is so , then I am going to cancel our cars and just do the trolly.:)

Key West is SUCH a walkable town that you truly do not need either of these. The electric cars look cool and on the trolley you get a narrated tour which is cool since you key things pointed out but you can easily forgo both of these. The distance from where you dock to the "Southernmost Point" is about 1mile down Duval Street. The streets are easy to navigate and there are bars/restaurants/stores everywhere. Unless you had a member of your party who was mobility challenged I would save my $$ for something else.

You can also book the trolley when you get there and it is probably a few dollars cheaper (remember that the cruise line gets their cut.) There is no "capacity" issue on the Trolley so you could "wait & see" if it looks like something you'd want to do.

Also, if you haven't been to Key West before there is a Walgreens drugstore on Duval as well as a CVS (where the Trolley is) in case you have forgotten to pack something. The CVS also sells "adult beverages" (beer & wine & soda :woohoo:). Slightly higher markup than you'd pay in Port Canaveral but it is an alternate option if you are flying in and don't want to schlep beverages.

Wow, good to know! Thanks for the info :)

Hi Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a great Easter... My daughter is still looking someone to chat with before the cruise. She is 12 and in the 6th grade and would love to get to know a few others before we board.
Not long now... We just got in yesterday from a cruise on the Ruby Princess, just hubby and I. Seen the Magic in port in Grand Cayman and was excited to know that my daughter and I would be on in June. Can't wait!!

Happy Easter everyone!!! Hope all of you had a great day.

We had a family dinner & my brother took Jayde & my niece (who just turned 16) out to practice parking. Jayde is taking her road test tomorrow & is extremely nervous. I hope it goes well (she is not a strong test taker). I know she will be disappointed if she fails. We live in the burbs.. really no where to parallel park!

Anyway, I have meandering through the boards & was wondering if anyone is concerned about the menus changing? They are saying that they will be changing first week of June. I am NOT a picky eater & will be excited to see the changes (if any). I like to use cruising to try new items!!! On our first cruise, Jayde ordered lamb shank thinking it was gyro.. of course, I switched with her. She is not really picky just particular.

Thanks so much for the advice!! I am going to cancel the cars.:):goodvibes
