Any other cat 12's out there?

WOW!!

It would also be interesting to see how many quads, triples, doubles we have and when the cabin was booked....to see if there is any rhyme or reason to possible cabin assignments and/or cabin upgrades.:thumbsup2

I have one quad booked and I booked it on December 10 at 4:30 p.m.

So what day is everyone thinking for the Palo Tea? What day is best to try to get a Palo dinner? We've never sailed. Which one of the special meals (not the Pirates) or regular rotation is best to skip?

and if we book the Romantic package, can I make reservations now?

If I recall correctly the tea is only offered the days at sea days.:) If it is still the same way.

I think formal and semiformal nights are on the sea days, and pirate night is on Tues, if that helps you narrow it down. I'm thinking menus are posted somewhere for the 7 night (anyone know?) If you book the romance package or are in a cat 1-3, your booking opening is 105 days out so you can book now. If you are castaway member, reservations open up March 15th provided you have paid your cruise in full. If DH were going, I would try to score a Palo reservation but since he's not, I am passing. The brunch is the harder ressie to get as it as well as high tea is only offered on sea days.
Our first time we cruised, we had no reservations for Palo, didn't even know we could book them the first day (we were clueless - did not even know that DIS boards existed :rotfl2:) , so we told our waiter at dinner that first night that we really wanted to go and he was able to get us ressies (we were on a 7 night eastern - can't remember which night). We also had no excursions booked and just winged it.
(I think we rented a car in St Marteen, and booked one excursion in the other port right on the ship.)
Does anyone know what time you can start booking on the 15th of March? Is it 12:01am eastern? I guess its like the cruise - lots of people book as soon as they can making multiple ressies, then cancel when they narrow down their plans. So if you don't get them at first, try, try again!:rotfl:

I made plane reservations last week on Southwest. I am glad that they at least let you get future credit when the prices drop. So far I have gotten 2 reductions and now have over a hundred dollars credit for the three of us. I am hoping that room only discounts for the days after the cruise come open next week so I can book our couple of days at WDW.

Southwest has some great rates from Baltimore on Fri June 12th ($54 one way!) and not so bad from Houston $106 one way. I'm trying to convince extended family to stay a few days in WDW after the cruise. Rates for the return are $54 going back to Balto Mon night which is where we are heading for a week or so after cruise/WDW. If DH meets up with us in WDW on Sat, we can get good hotel rates (military discount!) and we can also get good deals on tickets with a new promotion going on this year for military. But if he can't make it down, where are you all finding discounted disney hotels? Are you calling direct or going thru a TA? Or is there a website? We have almost always stayed at SOG but with the special military discounting this year, its less to stay at a value resort and about the same for a mod (because of his rank). I'm looking at ways to save money this trip, as we have another WDW trip planned for Sept and a cruise in 2010.

I just bought our flight tickets! I don't think we will get a lower rate then what we got so happy about that!:goodvibes :thumbsup2 We got ours for $191.00 each one of us round trip included tax and all.
So we are coming in June 10th and leaving June 24th late in the day.:) Kind of a long trip.LOL:love:
WOW I just counted days we are gone and we are going for 2 weeks!!LOL

I thought it was March 16th (at 12:00am)? If you are a CC member and have the cruise paid in full. Did my TA figure it wrong?

My personal itinerary from DCL says 15 March but it does not list a time. :confused3 Anyone know and can share?

YEP!!! We have REAS and was able to book at midnight. We got everything we wanted. I wished I could have made ressies for my fellow peeps:guilty:

I booked dinner for Monday, I am not that excited about dressing up for Formal night, don't want to come back from excursions to get ready for Palo (not a real biggie though) and I won't miss the show in Animator's.

And we have a Cat 12.

Found this info on another 7 day western thread. Sorry, looks like I gave wrong info and Pirates night is not on Tues but on Wed according to these navigators. I was hoping it was Tues when we have an earlier on board time. I just finished reading a great TR from Sept and pirates night was on Tues.

"There's a slight difference between the Navigators that Tim has from the 01/10/09 sailing and the Navigators that are on the disneycruiser website from the 01/24/09 sailing. One of those sailings switched the live show on Sun and the movie on Wed. Otherwise, I think they were similar with the new dining rotation:
Sat (PC): Show dinner menu in AP, Island dinner menu in PC, French dinner menu in Lumiere's (1st rotational); cruise casual; "Let the Magic Begin" show in the theater with a magician/illusionist and a comedian/ventriloquist on 01/10/09 BUT comedy/science and musical comedy on 01/24/09 (different performers from the previous Western sailing, but it's still called "Let the Magic Begin!")
Sun (KW): Show, Island, or French dinner menu (2nd rotational); cruise casual; Bedtime Stories movie in the theater at 5:30, 8:15, & 10:30 on 01/11/09 BUT magician/illusionist on 01/25/09
Mon (sea): Golden Mickeys menu; Formal night; "The Golden Mickeys" in the theater
Tues (GC): Show, Island, or French dinner menu (3rd rotational); cruise casual; "Twice Charmed" in the theater
Wed (Coz): Pirate menu; pirate or cruise casual; comedian/hypnotist in the theater on 01/14/09 BUT Bedtime Stories movie in the theater at 5:30 & 8:15 on 01/28/09; Pirates IN the Caribbean Party @ 9:45 PM on decks 9 & 10
Thurs (sea): Captain's Gala menu (lobster); semi-formal; "Disney Dreams" in the theater (Friendship Rocks! kids graduation at 5-5:30 in the theater)
Fri (CC): 'Til We Meet Again menu; cruise casual; "Remember the Magic!" in the theater ('Til We Meet Again show in the atrium @ 10:15 PM)

Does that make sense? I don't know why the slight change from one Western sailing to the next, but it may make a difference for someone trying to schedule Palo reservations, etc. Who knows which routine we'll end up with!"

And we have a Cat 12.

How were you able to book before the 15th of March if you have a cat 12?
It says only Cat 1,2 and 3 could book the earliest and then CC members like alot of us would be March 15th and then the rest after that?
Here is what is started copied over:Please return 75 days prior to vacation commencement. If you are a Castaway Club member, you may return 90 days prior to vacation commencement. If you are a Concierge Guest, you may return 105 days prior to vacation commencement. When you return to this page during that time period, you'll have:

Are you sure you aren't a Cat 1, 2 or 3 and just are modest about it.LOL

Not even in my dreams can I afford the Cat 1 :rotfl:
We booked the Romantic Escape Seas Package. That allows you to book at 105 days along with the Suite guests.
