We can't book until March 15th either but I am thinking electric car rental in Key West to see the southern most point and some of the somewhat less touristy areas. We have never been to Key West and we are looking forward to seeing it, if we like it we may just come back in another year and stay in the Keys (we have relatives with a rental place there). In Cozumel we are looking at the ruins tour, the long one, something like 7.5 hours, again we have never been to Mexico and my wife is a big history buff, I am fascinated by the architecture and the size. In Grand Cayman we are looking at the city tour, we did this in Nassau and liked it as it gave us the overview of the Island. On Castaway my daughter wants to try the water bike, last time we ended up with an accidental double dip ( the wind and weather was so bad on the scheduled day the captain came back for a second day) so we did the eco tour on day one. It was lots of fun expecially on the slightly rough seas and then on the island back side the flat water let us run the jet-skis wide open, my daughter would like to do it again but only if she could drive, and she is still too young. On the second day we did the now non-existant Banana boat ride, again the sea was rough but it was fun. We were one of the last to get to ride that day because the seas got too rough for safety. My wife and I are looking forward to a visit to Serenity bay and perhaps a walk around the island, stuff we did not do last time. At this point I have the car arrangements and hotel arrangements done, just the air left to do. I am waiting to see if SW will offer any fare sales. We are planning to come in Friday night, we can't come any earlier as this is the last day of classes for DD. Has anyone started to schedule a meet early in the cruise so perhaps the kids can make some friends early? We are planning to participate in the FE assuming we have one.:hourglass

Has anyone ever done a FE exchange before, I haven't, but I want to. Does anyone know know how to organize it? :)

FE's are very easy to do, we just need a master list of cabin numbers and names which is usually done a few days before since some people get upgraded. Everyone can print out their own list or someone can bring copies of the master list to hand out at the DIS meet (if we have one)

Oh- OK. Yeah alot of us have Cat 12's , so no cabin assignments yet.

we have only done a FE on our last cruise and it was left up to each cabin if they wanted to bring one or multiple gifts.

WOW you all are good! We haven't thought too much.;)

It sounds like fun and understand the basics but wouldn't it be good to have like a set dollar amount and number of gifts so it is even for all.:)

Hey everyone ... I can't believe how long it's been since I posted. Things are busy busy right now with soccer and work. I want to know for sure how the FE works too, I am trying to get ideas and find stuff.

I have booked our dolphin encounter for Cozumel at 1:30 I think. The other 2 I have to wait because I am booking through DCL. We are doing the pirate scavenger hunt in Key West and the Pirate Encounter in Grand Cayman. I want to do the earlier one too so I can see a little go Grand Cayman afterwards, I want to find the Rum Cake Factory. :cool1:

I want to book my Dolphin excursion as soon as I hear something about my job, I was thinking about booking it anyway though. I definately am booking the early Pirate encounter too, so we can do a little shopping afterwards.

I would want to keep it flexible and encourage everyone to do what they are comfortable with. It is all about having fun.

What's everyone up to today? I am tired, DD is sick with some kind of infection(throat hurting, pretty high fever, congestion, etc)she wound up sleeping with me, and I just watched her all night, taking her temp, making sure she was cool, etc. DH is home with her today- I should have let him do all that- but I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway- knowing she was sick. LOL

Sorry to hear she is feeling icky. I hope she feels better and it’s nothing serious. It’s always hard because we can’t really do anything for them sometimes. :grouphug:

I know- she said it felt like something was in her throat- and asked my mom to get it out.LOL
